more Year in Review is here.
Analytics now has a Year tab: a free annual summary of your watching — total watch time, episodes and movies, your top show, and your busiest month — with year-over-year deltas, a year picker for past years, and a one-tap text share.
New: CouchTime Plus, a one-time unlock (no subscription). Plus opens up the full Year in Review — genre, watch-time, provider and cast breakdowns, a month-by-month trend, your viewing rhythm, and a shareable image card — adds Export Studio (export your library, watch history and ratings as CSV or JSON, filtered by date and column), and adds Library filters: filter by genre, decade, runtime, rating and watched/unwatched, with saved named filters. The basic Shows/Movies and status filters stay free.
Everything you already use stays free: tracking, Up Next, lists, Tonight, episode notifications, the free Year in Review card, and basic analytics. No new permissions, no account required.
3.5.0 1d ago
A polish release focused on consistency and correctness.
Dates now follow your in-app language everywhere — no more English screens showing Swedish dates. Content on every tab scrolls fully clear of the floating tab bar, Tonight's daily pick is now a full cinematic hero (and the screen is properly titled "Tonight"), and Lists, Analytics, and list details all read a little calmer.
3.4.4 Jun 25
Track and find shows with less friction.
You can now pin a show to Up Next straight from its Details page, and Details shows a new "Next" line — your next episode to watch, or when the next one airs. Search gets a quick + to add a show or movie without opening it first, and your own star rating is back in the Library grid, next to the year.
We also tidied the Details library panel and fixed a sign-in spinner that could show on the wrong button.
3.4.3 Jun 24
Catch up on history without throwing off your stats.
This update adds a new "watched earlier" flow for movies, episodes, and whole seasons. Use it for things you watched before you started tracking: they still count toward your totals and Recap, but won't inflate streaks, weekly activity, or most-active stats.
You can also add a rough year, like "around 2013," so older watches land in the right place in your Recap timeline. And shows you just caught up on stay easy to resume in Up Next.
3.4.2 Jun 22
Small polish and a new way to reach us.
- Episode screens now show the show and season above the title. Tap either one to jump straight there.
- New Feedback & support page in Settings: get help, send feedback, request a feature, or report a bug.
- Add an optional reply email if you’d like an answer. No account required.
3.4.1 Jun 18
Adds an optional way to support CouchTime’s development.
- New Support CouchTime page in Settings with three optional tip tiers.
- Prices are shown in your local store currency.
- Tips are voluntary and do not unlock features or content.
- Sign-in remains optional and is not required to send a tip.
3.4.0 Jun 17
A small bug-fix release.
- Trakt import: ongoing series with future episodes stay on "Watching" instead of being incorrectly marked "Completed" once every currently-aired episode is watched.
- Season Complete toast: only celebrates when every announced episode of the season has actually aired and been watched. No more false celebrations during a mid-season binge.
- New List screen: the submit button now reads "Save" so it's clearer what to tap after typing the name. Accessibility labels added; the form is hardened against double-tap and back-gesture-mid-network edge cases.
3.3.1 Jun 15
Sign in with Apple is now available on iOS.
You can sign in with either Google or Apple — both unlock the same optional cloud backup of your library, watch history, ratings, milestones, and personal lists. Signing in with one provider and then the other still lands you in the same cloud account, as long as the verified email matches.
- Sign in with Apple, iOS only. Native Apple sheet; "Hide My Email" relay supported.
- Same backup promise as Google sign-in: library, watch history, ratings, milestones, whitelisted preferences, and personal lists.
- Account deletion now revokes your Apple sign-in token at Apple. If the revocation can't complete immediately, it's retried in the background.
- The "Buy Me a Coffee" link in Settings has been removed.
Sign-in is still optional. The whole app works without an account.
3.3.0 Jun 8
Optional Google sign-in to back up your data to the cloud.
CouchTime is still offline-first — everything works without an account. Since the last App Store version:
- Sign in with Google in Settings → Account to back up your library, watch history, ratings, and milestones.
- Restore on a new phone: install CouchTime, sign in with the same Google account, and your data comes back.
- Automatic background sync — changes flow to the cloud within about thirty seconds. No buttons to remember.
- "Sync now" button in Settings → Account if you want explicit control.
- Delete your account in-app at Settings → Account → Delete account. Immediate soft-delete, 14-day grace window, and you can cancel any time by signing back in during the window.
- New "About your account" help sheet in Settings explains exactly what gets backed up, what stays local, and how sign-out and account deletion differ.
Sign-in is optional. The whole app keeps working without it. Signing out pauses cloud access without touching your local data; "Sign out and clear local data" wipes the device.
3.2.0 Jun 3
A small bug-fix release:
Pull-to-refresh on a show’s Details screen now also updates its streaming services for your region. This means newly available providers can show up right away, instead of waiting for the background refresh window.
This release also refreshes the provider link behind each streaming chip, so tapping a service opens the correct page.
3.0.5 May 25
Better Swedish translation coverage, and several bug fixes:
- New “Add from Library” action on lists you own. Pick multiple items from your library, skip anything already in the list, and add everything in one tap.
- Library status chips like “Watching”, “Completed”, “Plan”, and “Dropped” now translate to Swedish.
- Season detail, Episode detail, the Details seasons grid, the star-rating modal, and several alerts are now fully translated.
- Refreshing a show or movie on Details now updates its poster across Library, Up Next, and list grids.
- Long-pressing a list-grid item now shows the actual title in the confirmation alert instead of an internal TMDB id.
- Lists remember your sort and filter choices between app launches.
- Android page-sheet modals no longer overlap the status bar.
3.0.4 May 25
CouchTime 3.0.3 reframes Explore as Tonight and adds a focused polish pass across navigation, lists, episodes, and updates.
- New Tonight screen gives you one confident daily pick from your library, with a short reason, Watch
tonight action, and Not for me dismiss that learns.
- Search now lines up consistently across Discover, Library, Up Next, and Tonight.
- Episode codes now use the same clean S08E18 format everywhere.
- Upcoming grid view now includes the amber timeline rail from list view for clearer countdown browsing.
- Updates now collapse repeated sync messages and use relative dates like 2w ago or 1mo ago.
- Library and Lists attention badges now use amber instead of red, keeping red reserved for destructive actions.
- Lists are calmer and tighter, with simpler captions, cleaner rows, and progress bars on shared list grid tiles where supported.
- Episode details now include previous and next episode navigation within the same season.
- Details has a quieter, smaller Rate this show button so optional actions no longer dominate the page.
3.0.3 May 20
CouchTime 3.0.2 continues the visual refresh with cleaner grids, sharper typography, and clearer actions.
- Lists, seasons, and upcoming episodes now use poster grids for faster browsing, with list view still available where supported.
- Titles, episode codes, dates, and countdowns have a more polished cinematic look, while body text stays native and easy to read.
- The Details page now has a clearer Lists row showing where an item is saved, with Add or Manage actions that are easier to distinguish from Library tracking.
- Discover now feels smoother with subtle section animations that respect Reduce Motion.
- The iOS tab bar now matches the app’s amber accent.
- Fixed a small Library issue where status filter chips could look dimmed.
3.0.2 May 14

3.0.1 May 12
CouchTime 2.5.8 introduces Recap: a calm, day-grouped diary of what you’ve watched, now available in the Analytics hub alongside Ratings, Stats, and Milestones.
- See recent watches grouped by day, with posters, episode labels, runtime, and Trakt sync status
- Binge sessions now collapse into clean run cards with episode ranges and total runtime
- Finished a season or series? Recap marks the moment with a subtle completion pill
- Multi-watch days get soft blurred episode-still backdrops for a more editorial feel

- Trakt movie imports now keep the most recent viewing date, so rewatches appear in the right place in
Recap
2.5.8 May 11
CouchTime 2.5.6 polishes search navigation and keyboard behavior.
- Fixed an issue where the new floating X-bar above the keyboard could briefly switch back to the old “Done” bar when opening a
search result and swiping back.
- Improved the transition between search results and detail pages so the keyboard no longer bounces down and back up.
- Returning from a result now leaves the search field unfocused. Tap the search bar again to resume searching, matching the
standard iOS pattern.
No other behavior changes.
2.5.6 May 7
CouchTime 2.5.5 improves cold starts and keyboard controls on iOS.
- The bottom tab bar now renders all labels correctly on the very first frame after launch. Previously, labels could occasionally
appear missing or truncated until you tapped a tab.
- Search fields now show a new floating glass accessory above the keyboard with a clear circular X dismiss button.
- Regular non-search text fields still use the familiar Done button, but its touch area is now larger so it’s easier and more
reliable to dismiss the keyboard.
2.5.5 May 5
CouchTime 2.5.4 fixes a couple of small visual issues on launch.
- Library and Watchlist posters now blend more cleanly into dark mode cards, without a faint light edge around rounded corners.
- The bottom tab bar now shows the correct colors and labels immediately when Light or Dark mode is selected in Settings.
- System appearance mode is unchanged.
2.5.4 Apr 27
CouchTime 2.5.3 brings a more cinematic browsing experience.
Discover now highlights your top momentum pick with a large hero card, while a new This Week section shows upcoming episodes from your library and marks newly released ones with a NEW badge. Watchlist and Library browsing also feels more polished with a subtle scroll focus effect.
This update also adds fullscreen poster viewing on the details screen, improves readability on Upcoming countdown badges, and fixes a bug where the Season Complete toast could appear too early.
2.5.3 Apr 22
CouchTime 2.5.2 makes the app easier to learn and faster to use.
• New one-tap quick-watch checkmarks on Watchlist and “Pick up where you left off”
• Refreshed empty states and new in-app tips for key features
• Added a short welcome for new users and a contextual hint on the details screen
• Improved the keyboard Done button across the app
• Fixed an issue where Watchlist and “Pick up where you left off” could point to the wrong episode after watching out of order
2.5.2 Apr 14
This update improves shared lists with smarter progress display and background update detection.
- Shared list progress now shows the next episode to watch instead of the last watched episode, matching the rest of the app.
- New unseen item badges: when someone adds items to a shared list you've joined, a red +N badge appears on the list card so you know there's something new.
- Shared lists now check for new items once a day when you open the app.
- Add to List is now available directly from Library and Watchlist.
2.5.1 Apr 10
Shared lists are here. Create personal lists, share them with others in CouchTime, and publish optional public web links. This update also adds reporting and blocking for shared content, richer join previews, full backup support for lists, and a cleaner navigation refresh with Upcoming merged into Watchlist and Analytics back in the tab bar.
2.5.0 Apr 8
CouchTime 2.4.1 delivers a native iOS tab bar and a visual polish pass across the app.
- Native Tab Bar — The tab bar now uses the system tab bar with SF Symbols, giving you native Dynamic Type support, proper dark mode integration, and a feel that matches the rest of iOS.

- Visual Consistency — Spacing, typography, and colors have been refined across Discover, Library, Watchlist, and Upcoming for a tighter, more polished experience.
- Improved Readability — Poster labels, streaming provider text, and episode metadata now use better line heights and spacing for easier scanning.

2.4.1 Apr 1
ouchTime 2.3.0 adds IMDb import support.
- IMDb Ratings Import — Import your rated movies and TV shows from an IMDb CSV export file. Find it in Settings under "IMDb Import".

- Rating Conversion — Your personal IMDb ratings (1–10) are automatically mapped to CouchTime's star scale and saved to your library.
- Re-Import Friendly — Run the import again after rating more titles on IMDb. New items are added, existing items get their rating updated, and nothing is duplicated.
- Preserves Your Data — Re-importing never overwrites your watch status, pinned items, or any other manual changes.
- Detailed Summary — After each import, see exactly how many items were imported, updated, skipped, or failed.
As always, CouchTime works offline and keeps your data on-device.
2.3.0 Mar 25

- Update Notifications — Get notified when new seasons, episodes, or streaming options appear for shows in your library. Deduplicated automatically — no duplicate alerts.
- Details Layout Fix — Fixed hero layout on large devices (Pro Max) for a cleaner cinematic header.
TMDB metadata (movie titles, descriptions, episode data) remains in its original language.
As always, CouchTime works offline and keeps your data on-device.
