- Lists look right again: items that showed only a code now get their title, year and poster. - Tap a "new items" update to go straight to that list. - Ratings, averages, weekdays, months and dates now follow your app language in more places. - Reduce Motion now also covers button presses, screen entrances and pop-up sheets. - Better VoiceOver support: toasts and banners are announced, and more buttons are labelled.

- Up Next stays focused: shows you haven't watched in 180 days fold into one "Not watched in a while" row at the bottom, collapsed by default. - Nothing is removed. Pinned shows and shows waiting for a new episode never fold, and search still finds everything. - Decide what to do with a show you've drifted away from: Move to Plan or Drop it from its menu. - At large text sizes, "Mark as watched" now keeps its label inside the button.

- Removing something now sticks. If you removed a title or unmarked a watch and synced straight away, the sync could bring it back - it no longer does, and a newer change from another device still wins. - Trakt imports now read beyond the first 250 plays instead of silently stopping at the first page. - Streaming availability now credits JustWatch, wherever it appears. - The Plus screen now lists everything Plus includes, and Help & Tips has a new row - "Something missing? Tell us" - that goes straight to the feedback form. - Smaller fixes: Discover's streaming line is translated, and the pending-deletion banner keeps its text at the largest text sizes.

CouchTime speaks German. Every screen, button and message was read line by line by a native speaker and corrected across four rounds of review. Switch under Settings → Language → Deutsch; your library, history and lists are untouched. Thank you to everyone who asked for German, and to the reader who checked all of it. Milestones now reflows instead of clipping at large accessibility text sizes. Chip titles wrap to two lines and the summary header stacks into two rows, so nothing is cut off at the screen edge. The dialog for cancelling a scheduled account deletion now names what each button does — "Continue deletion" or "Keep my account" — instead of offering an ambiguous "Cancel". Continuing is marked as destructive, and keeping your account is the emphasised default.

Fixed a brief black flash when switching back to a tab you had already opened on iOS 27. Each tab now plays its entrance animation once, on your first visit, rather than every time you return to it.

- Settings now wraps correctly at the largest text sizes. Buttons keep their labels and the account text no longer clips. - Marking an episode on a show you have not added yet now adds it to your library as Watching, so it appears in Up Next straight away. - If that first mark finishes the show, it is added as Completed instead. - Your existing statuses are never changed by this, and a show you removed is not brought back. - In Swedish, the privacy screen and the streaming region names are now translated. - Various Swedish wording corrections. - Updated to a newer app platform, which resolves a memory issue on animation-heavy screens.

- Tap any name in a show or film's cast list to open a page for that person. - Each person page shows their photo, a short line of facts, their biography, and the titles they are known for. - Tap a title on a person's page to open it in CouchTime. - Biographies come from TMDB in English; the page says so when you are using CouchTime in Swedish. - Shows and films with a trailer now have a "Watch trailer" button under the plot. It opens on YouTube. - The button appears only when TMDB has a suitable trailer or teaser. In Swedish, you get a Swedish one where there is a suitable one, otherwise English.

Switching between To Watch and Upcoming is immediate. The screen you return to is no longer rebuilt from scratch, and you keep your scroll position and your search text. Screen entrance animations now honour the Reduce Motion accessibility setting, throughout the app.

Episode reminders now arrive once. Each reminder is identified by the episode it belongs to, so an interrupted launch can no longer lose track of one and add a second copy the next time. Duplicates left by earlier versions are cleared the first time you open this version, and your daily Tonight reminder is not affected. Turning episode reminders off now stays off, even if the schedule was being rebuilt at the same moment. The notification schedule screen shows each reminder's real time. It used to show times that drifted the longer the app stayed open, and could show the same time for reminders set for different moments. Your Trakt session is now stored so it can still be read while your iPhone is locked, letting marks you have already made finish sending instead of failing on a connection that was working the whole time. CouchTime checks the moved session reads back correctly before removing the old one. Fixed CouchTime showing a "session expired" notice after you had already reconnected Trakt, and that notice now appears in your language.

- Shared lists now have a link you can send to anyone. It opens the list in CouchTime if they have the app, and otherwise opens a CouchTime page showing the list and its covers. - List links unfurl properly in Messages, Slack and social apps, with a preview card for the list rather than the CouchTime homepage. - Fixed a bug where turning on a public link could fail without saying so, leaving the link working while CouchTime still showed the list as private. - Fixed turning off public sharing playing the success sound even when it had failed. - Fixed a list's public state being reverted by a background sync that started before the change. - Fixed opening two list invitations quickly showing the wrong list, or leaving the Join button stuck. - Fixed the Join button on a list invitation being invisible since 3.8.3, and centred its label. - Fixed episodes appearing a day early on Discover's This Week and in Up Next for anyone west of UTC. - Fixed Trakt reporting an expired session when the connection was fine, and skipping one automatic sync when it happened. - Fixed choosing Share on a list leaving the app visible but unresponsive to taps until it was force-quit. Present since 3.4.4.

You can now share any show or movie from its Details screen. The link opens that exact title — in CouchTime if the other person has the app, otherwise on a CouchTime page showing the poster, year, runtime, genres and description. Shared links unfurl properly in Messages, Slack and social apps, with a preview card for the title itself rather than the CouchTime homepage. Fixed a bug where a small number of titles could load another title's cast, posters, recommendations or streaming services. A handful of IMDb IDs are claimed by two different titles, and the app now verifies which one it is looking at before showing anything. Fixed streaming availability being cached against the wrong title for those same IDs, which could also send a "now streaming" alert for something you were not tracking. Fixed the Plus time filters in Up Next matching shows whose next episode has not been released yet.

Shows you add to Plan now move to Watching as soon as you mark an episode watched. Before, they stayed in Plan and quietly dropped out of your Discover rails and Up Next queue. The Details screen now shows how much is left to catch up on a show you're behind on, in hours and episodes. It is always phrased as "at least", because the app will not claim a total it cannot stand behind. Plus: Up Next can now be filtered by the time you actually have — Any, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. It matches on the next episode, so it answers "can I watch one tonight" rather than "can I finish this". Fixed a bug where refreshing a show could erase cached episode titles and runtimes, which made watch-time figures in Recap and Year in Review lower than they should be. Fixed the Library and Lists filters offering to sell Plus to people who already own it, while their purchase was still being confirmed. Fixed the "This Week" list on Discover, where show titles did not line up because a longer day name pushed them across. In Swedish, some days could also appear as a date instead of the weekday.

Some imported and restored libraries have gaps: films with no runtime, shows with no episode data. Where they exist, Recap and Year in Review could only report part of your watch time. CouchTime now fills in what it can, automatically. Your figures get more complete over time. This happens quietly while the app is open, a few titles at a time across several sessions. It does not run while the app is closed, and there is nothing to turn on. Coverage improves but is not guaranteed to be complete — some titles simply have no published runtime. Where a figure is still partial, the app keeps saying so rather than rounding it into a confident total. A film with no published runtime is now stored as unknown rather than as zero minutes, so Year in Review will say "at least" where it should. Fixed: the Details screen could say episodes were saved for offline use after that data had been cleared.

The Season screen now shows when you watched each episode. You can mark a whole season at each episode's own original air date — handy when logging a show you finished long ago. Unreleased episodes are never marked. Air dates were a day early across the Americas. TMDB publishes calendar days, and CouchTime was reading them as exact moments. Air-date lines, Upcoming and the widget countdowns now agree on the same day. Episode reminders now arrive on the right day. Previously they could fire a day early in the Americas, or be cancelled before firing across Europe and most of Asia. An episode logged with "watched earlier" no longer shows an exact date it cannot support. It reads "Logged earlier" or "Watched ~2020", matching the Season screen. Several places where text or a selection marker was too faint have been corrected, including a check mark in Settings that was effectively invisible in dark mode.

A polish release built from a pass over every screen in the app. The Discover hero no longer breaks its episode line across three rows, and its title now sits where the artwork is dark enough to read it. Long show titles get a third line on the details screen, and use the full width larger phones offer. Large accessibility text sizes are properly supported now, and if you use them this is the bigger half of the release. Screens that could not be scrolled at the largest sizes now scroll. Buttons that fell off the bottom - including the only way out of an empty search - are reachable again. Titles, episode codes and counts stop being cut through the middle of a word. Up Next rows are roughly half as tall, so more of your shows fit on screen. And text resizes as soon as you change the setting instead of waiting for a restart. VoiceOver improves too: filter chips and list rows announce as buttons and say which is selected, mark-watched and pin are reachable on their own, and decorative icons are no longer read out. Also fixed: Sign out was painted the same red as Delete account, despite only signing you out and leaving everything on your device - it now looks like the ordinary action it is. An empty list offers its Add button directly instead of pointing you elsewhere. The Library's Shows and Movies counts now respect your active filters. Several buttons that drew white text on amber, too low-contrast to read comfortably, now use dark ink.

New for Plus: accent colours. Open Settings → Display → Accent color and choose Amber, Teal, Rose or Violet - the whole app retints instantly, from buttons and progress bars to the tab bar and badges. Each colour is tuned separately for light and dark mode, and your choice follows your account to every device you sign in on. Amber remains the default. Colours that mean something stay fixed on purpose: completed green, destructive red, and the urgency colours on your countdowns don't shift with your accent. Also fixed for everyone: several buttons drew white text on an amber fill, which was too low-contrast to read comfortably - they now use dark ink, matching the app's main buttons. The same surfaces used the light-mode amber in dark mode and now follow your theme, and the "Watching" and "Shared" chips over poster art are easier to read.

The Quick Mark widget now marks episodes directly: tap the checkmark and your next episode is marked watched right on the widget - no app opening, no confirmation step - from the home screen or the Lock Screen, even offline. The widget advances to your next episode instantly, and your watch history records the exact moment you tapped. Tapping anywhere else on the widget opens the show's Details page. Also fixed: unmarking an episode or movie now removes the play from your Trakt history too, so marks and unmarks finally match - and unmarks made offline are remembered and sent the next time you sync. Marks arriving from a widget, a Trakt import, or another device now refresh the screen you're already looking at.

New for Plus: My services. Pick the streaming services you actually use under Settings → Notifications, and arrival alerts only notify you when something lands on one of them. The Updates feed still records every arrival, so the history stays complete - only the notification is filtered. An empty selection keeps today's behavior. Also new for Plus: widgets, everywhere you glance. The Countdown widget shows how many days remain until your next episode - ticking down at midnight without opening the app - and CouchTime now lives on your Lock Screen too: your next episode under the clock, and the countdown as a circular widget. And for binge nights, the new Quick Mark widget marks your next episode watched with a single confirmation tap. Also fixed: the Tonight link in the Discover header now uses the correct accent color in dark mode, and widgets update more reliably.

Streaming arrivals: With the switch on, CouchTime may now also check for arrivals from time to time. Timing is controlled by iOS, and everything stays off unless you've enabled Streaming arrivals in Settings → Notifications. Fixed: finishing an ended show now marks it Completed automatically.

Small release, important fix: restoring your library on a new device now reliably fills Up Next. Episode details download in the background after a restore or backup import, and automatically pick up where they left off if interrupted.

CouchTime on your home screen. Two new widgets for CouchTime Plus: • Up Next shows what to watch next, including the poster, episode and season progress. • Tonight shows today’s pick and why it was chosen, then updates automatically at midnight. Also new for everyone: an optional daily notification with tonight’s pick, delivered at the time you choose. Enable it under Settings → Notifications.

TV Time is shutting down — your watch history doesn’t have to disappear. CouchTime can now import your TV Time export, including shows, movies, watchlist, and dated episode history. Your existing history brings Recap, statistics, Year in Review, and Up Next to life with the years you already watched. The importer is free, safely recognizes previously imported history, and lists anything it couldn’t match confidently. Also new: manage Smart Collections directly from the Lists tab, and see Library counts that respect your active filters.

A quick fix for Smart Collections. With CouchTime Plus unlocked, tapping a Smart Collection could sometimes open the CouchTime Plus screen instead of the collection itself, and editing a collection's filter didn't always refresh its count. Both are fixed: collections open every time, and edits take effect immediately.

Smart Collections turn a filter into a living list. Build a compound filter in your Library — say "Sci-fi · 2010s · Unwatched" — pin it to Lists, and it becomes a Smart Collection: a browsable list that recomputes itself as your library changes. Mark something watched and it quietly leaves your "unwatched" collection. (CouchTime Plus.) You can also now edit a whole season's watch dates in one go: from a season's ⋯ menu, set every watched episode to a single date, or log the season as watched around a rough year — so your Year in Review and stats stop showing a fake "today" binge. We also fixed a light-mode glitch on the Details hero and a "build unknown" line in Settings → About.

Year in Review is here. Analytics now has a Year tab: a free annual summary of your watching — total watch time, episodes and movies, your top show, and your busiest month — with year-over-year deltas, a year picker for past years, and a one-tap text share. New: CouchTime Plus, a one-time unlock (no subscription). Plus opens up the full Year in Review — genre, watch-time, provider and cast breakdowns, a month-by-month trend, your viewing rhythm, and a shareable image card — adds Export Studio (export your library, watch history and ratings as CSV or JSON, filtered by date and column), and adds Library filters: filter by genre, decade, runtime, rating and watched/unwatched, with saved named filters. The basic Shows/Movies and status filters stay free. Everything you already use stays free: tracking, Up Next, lists, Tonight, episode notifications, the free Year in Review card, and basic analytics. No new permissions, no account required.
