▶ A Smoother Way to Start Reading (New!)
- If you have a recent book, Start Reading begins the timer right away with that book.
- When you want to choose a different book, use Change Book from the reading start area.
- If there is no recent book yet, the app naturally opens the book picker so you can choose a book before starting the timer.
▶ Pause When You Need
- Need a break while reading? Tap 'Pause' to stop the timer and continue later with 'Resume'.
- Live Activity and the Lock Screen clearly show the paused state.
- The active reading control bar now presents Stop, Pause, and Resume in a calmer, easier-to-read style.
▶ Lock Screen & Dynamic Island Support
- Start reading and close the app—your timer stays visible.
- Easily check your elapsed reading time from the Dynamic Island or Lock Screen via Live Activities.

- Multiple sessions for the same book on the same day are now saved as separate reading logs.
- When a day has multiple reading logs, Home, the lawn grid, and widgets summarize reading time more accurately.
- Existing past logs that were already merged remain unchanged. The improved behavior applies to newly saved logs.
