We’re ready for the Summer Solstice event, and you should be too! This special event brings 2 brand new game modes, plus an exclusive theme override to help set the summer mood. Play either of the exclusive event games during the event and you’ll be eligible to receive a limited Summer Solstice badge to show off to your friends!

Bug fix: The Daily Puzzle could occasionally land on a Summer Solstice event puzzle, leaving players unable to play it outside the event window. Daily rotation now only picks from puzzles that are always available — event-exclusive puzzles are reserved for their event.

Version 1.3.0 brings a brand new puzzle type — Constellation Trace — where you connect the stars to reveal hidden shapes in the night sky. The puzzle browser has been redesigned with category filters so you can quickly find Word, Logic, Memory, or Classic puzzles, and a new Stats screen lets you review your play history across the last 7 days, 30 days, or all time. A handful of bugs and visual glitches have also been fixed under the hood.

Lavender and Sunset have had a little refresh — we fixed an issue where two colours were appearing the same.

More offline fun! We’ve increased the size of the offline word pool so you’ll see a wider range of words while playing offline.

We found a little quirk with the Daily Puzzle streaks. They were being saved in UTC time, which could make things feel a bit off depending on where you were playing from. That’s now been put right. Daily Puzzle streaks are stored using your local time, so if you settle in for a puzzle at 12:01am, it will count for the day you’re actually playing in your own timezone.

Introducing Clue Gird - a new puzzle type which gives you the clues and you have to find the words. We've also introduced the ability to set a custom wallpaper and set a force light or dark mode.

Thanks for the continued support everyone, we will carry on making changes to make this app even better! We’ve made a few behind the scenes improvements in this update, including security enhancements and fixes for async issues. We’ve also added YouTube on the main page so it’s even easier to find and follow us.

We’ve introduced purchase validation to ensure the app is properly unlocked with a valid purchase. This helps support ongoing development and keeps the cosy experience fair for all players.

This update introduces Fleet Finder, a brand-new cosy puzzle mode where you discover hidden boats across three handcrafted difficulties: Calm Waters (5x5), Open Sea (7x7), and Stormy Seas (9x9). Fleet Finder is fully integrated with your existing game systems, including scoring, progress tracking, and Daily Puzzle rotation, and it also includes support for achievements and leaderboards. We also polished the Fleet Finder experience with a clearer, easier-to-read layout, improved tile contrast, centred move/miss tracking, per-boat progress indicators with strike-through when completed, and subtle completion feedback animations to make each discovery feel satisfying.

A minor issue with leaderboard and achievements have now been fixed!

This release focuses on stability and polish across key parts of the experience: we fixed an issue where the Achievements/Game Center overlay could become unresponsive after repeated open-and-close actions, improved reliability when opening today’s postcard in full-screen, resolved intermittent postcard loading failures in the full-screen modal, corrected text formatting consistency (including Today’s apostrophe rendering), and made general performance and reliability improvements for a smoother overall play session.

Based on some user feedback the noughts and crosses hard mode is now easier to win, I've also updated codebreakers to show you the solution if you fail to solve it.
