GoJa: Japan Trip Planner
Plan group trips with friends
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Planning a Japan trip with your friends? Those 47 saved reels are getting buried in your saves, and we both know it. GoJa pulls everyone's saved spots into one shared, routed itinerary. Built for your whole squad, not just the one friend who ends up planning everything.
Here's how it works:
STASH EVERY SPOT
Everyone drops their must-sees, food spots, and saved reels into one shared list. Nothing buried in your saves, nothing lost in the chat.
YOUR DAYS, ROUTED IN ONE TAP
One tap and GoJa's AI clusters your spots into smart daily loops — with the best route and real travel times (walking + transit) between every stop. No more zig-zagging across the city.
SPLIT INTO SQUADS
The ramen crew and the thrift hunters don't have to do the same thing. Everyone can plan their own day, all inside one trip. Nobody has to agree on everything.
SHARE ONE PLAN
Everyone sees the itinerary and can RSVP, tweak, or sit one out. No more "wait, what did we actually decide?"
Plus everything that keeps a group trip smooth:
• Shared phrasebook — instant Japanese translations the whole group can use, with real pronunciation (and romaji) for ordering, shopping, and getting around.
• Vote on dates & stays — can't agree on when to go or where to stay? Built-in voting sorts it fast.
• Shared vs. private — keep the group plan and your own downtime, no clash.
From the neon of Shinjuku to the shrines of Kyoto and the food halls of Osaka, keep your whole group in sync.
Free to start — grab your squad and start planning your Japan trip today.
more Version: 1.15.0: Who's Sorting The Booking?
• Who's Sorting The Booking?: Some itinerary items need ringing ahead, and until now nobody knew who was doing it. Tap "I'll sort this" on a plan and the squad can see you're on it. Booked a table for four of the six of you? Say who your booking covers, and whoever's left still shows as needing a spot. Once it's real, hit "Say it's booked!" and everyone in it hears they're in.
• Who's Got A Booking Plan, At A Glance: Timeline cards now say where a booking's up to, from "Nothing booked yet" through to "Everyone's sorted", so you can see what's still hanging at a glance instead of opening every plan.
• A Quiet Chase, Not A Nag: GoJa now reminds whoever said they'd sort a booking, working back from how far ahead the spot needs booking. Claiming it doesn't stop the reminders, actually booking it does. And it only ever chases the people who still have something to do.
• Are You In?: Three days before a booking's due, anyone who still hasn't said if they're in gets one quick ask. Whoever's booking needs a number, and two taps gives it to them. Just the one ask, then we leave it alone.
• Booking News: You'll hear when someone claims a booking item, when it's actually booked, if they take you into their booking, and if a booking falls through and needs sorting again.
• Loop Fix: Generating a loop could fall over if one of your squads had a must-do food spot and that squad wasn't part of the loop. Sorted.

Version: 1.14.1: Fixes That Stick & A Proper Japanese Voice
• Stash Edits Save Again: Updating a stash's notes, squads, food type or booking details was quietly failing for a lot of you. That's sorted, and it saves properly whatever combination you pick.
• RSVPs That Actually Land: Saying "I'm in" or "Sitting out" could sit there spinning and then throw an error at you. We said we'd fixed this last release. We hadn't, not really. This time we found the actual culprit (a background job was fighting your tap over the same bit of data) and it's gone for good.
• Stash Shortcut, Every Time: The shortcut from a plan through to its stash worked once and then went quiet until you restarted the app. Tap away, it keeps working.
• Phrasebook Back In Order: Saved a phrase and then couldn't find it? New phrases were landing at a random spot in your list instead of the top. They now go exactly where you'd expect.
• A Properly Japanese Voice: Playback used to grab whatever voice your phone felt like using, which often meant an English speaker having a go at the syllables. GoJa now picks the best Japanese voice your phone actually has. Want it even better? Download the enhanced Japanese voice in your phone's accessibility settings and GoJa will pick it up on its own.
• Book Ahead At A Glance: Spots you've flagged as needing a reservation now show a little calendar marker right on your timeline cards, with the full "book two weeks ahead" reminder waiting when you open the plan.

What's New in Goja
Version: 1.14.0: Squad RSVPs & Booking Ahead
• Bulk RSVP: Tap the select icon on your timeline and you can now say "I'm in" or "Sitting out" for a whole day's plans in one go. Pick a mode, tap the spots you're answering for, done — no more opening every plan one at a time.
• Invite From Who's In: Added a spot and want a mate along? Open Who's In and invite them straight from there. Anyone who isn't in the country that day now sits in their own "Not here that day" group, so you won't invite them by accident.
• Should We Book Ahead?: GoJa now works out whether a stash needs a reservation or a timed ticket, and roughly how far ahead to sort it — a few days, a month, whatever fits. Disagree? Set it yourself, and you can always flip back to GoJa's suggestion later.
• Richer Timeline Cards: Your cards now show a must-do heart and a food icon at a glance, and warn you if you've already got that spot planned on another day.
• Split RSVP Filters: "I'm in", "Invited" and "Sitting out" used to be lumped together. They're now three separate filters and you can tick any combination — handy for finding just the plans still waiting on you.
• Jump To The Stash: Opened a plan and want the full stash? There's now a shortcut right next to the title.
• Blank Modal Fix: Accepting a couple of plans in a row could leave the next one opening completely empty, needing an app restart. Sorted.
• Under The Hood: Moved to the latest Gemini models, and nothing hangs silently any more — if something can't reach the server you'll get a clear message instead of a spinner that never stops.
1.14.0 Aug 22
Version: 1.13.2: Promo Codes & Squad Polish
• Promo Codes: Got a promo code? There's now a "Got a promo code?" button on the Upgrade screen. Pop your code in, check it, and unlock your Squad Trip Pass — no store checkout needed for gift codes.
• Shared Stashes Are Shared Again: Anyone in your squad can tweak a stash's notes, duration or food type, and the person who added it gets a heads up. Deleting is still theirs alone — everyone else can suggest removing it.
• Squad Settings That Stick: Squad emoji and colour changes now save for every member, not just the squad creator. Tapping a squad card opens the squad rather than the member list, and joining one keeps you on the list where you were browsing.
• Phrasebook Playback: Typed your Japanese in English letters instead of kana? Playback now converts it and pronounces it properly, rather than spelling it out letter by letter.
• Your Phrases, Your Edits: Phrasebook entries can be edited by whoever added them, and everyone else can still listen and suggest removing one.
• Clearer Notifications: Notification cards now say what actually happened — "You're invited!", "Plans updated!", "Trash it or keep it?" — instead of a generic "Notification", and delete requests finally include the details.
• Steadier Lists: The stash list no longer jumps back to the top when another traveller edits a stash mid-scroll, and switching filters takes you cleanly to the top of your new results.
• More Room to Plan: The "Wide Open Day!" banner now collapses with a tap, and itinerary notes fields are much roomier for jotting down the details.
• Friendlier Errors: When something doesn't save, GoJa now explains it in plain English instead of showing a technical error — and never quietly closes a sheet pretending it worked.
1.13.2 Jul 26

• Real-Time Edit Warnings: We've brought this intelligence directly into the Edit Modal. Adjusting the time or duration will instantly pop up a warning if your new schedule crosses into closed hours.
• Timezone Perfection: Rebuilt the operating hours engine to perfectly align with Japanese Standard Time (JST). It elegantly handles complex split-shifts, 24/7 establishments, and places that stay open past midnight.

• Streamlined UI: We've tightened up the interface by intelligently hiding route blocks and resource sections when they aren't relevant (like for simple notes), keeping your screen clutter-free.

Version: 1.15.0: Who's Sorting The Booking?
Sorted.
