I’m editing my review due to recent changes. I am removing a star. There is a new “dynamic pricing” instead of a fixed amount per message. Instead of a message being 2 candies on the lowest/simplest model, it now depends on how much memory you want. It can cost upwards of 30+ (they used to show you a range and just removed that so I don’t even know how much it could cost. On a higher model it showed about 450 candies for one message. That’s absolutely ridiculous. I won’t be continuing my membership if it’s this expensive. I really really hope they reconsider this update to pricing. I can’t see anyone paying nearly 500 candies for one message just to have higher memory. —————Original review: I’ve checked out many apps like this and this one is my favorite. You have many ways to earn currency: a daily checkin, videos to watch, and a task, plus other one time tasks which adds up to 70 candies a day. You don’t have to spend money with this app. If you choose to, you get double the amount on your first purchase. I paid for 3000 and got 6000. It’s lasting me a long time. Many other apps have word limits. If there is one here, it’s really high because I’ve never reached it.Keep in mind it’s AI. There are going to be some mistakes that happen in the story line. But it’s always been small and inconsequential.I also like that you can go back and change something you said or did and it will automatically delete subsequent messages and redo the next one, adjusting to the changes you made.This is the one app I would recommend for this style of game.

I’m loving the app so far had a little issue with credits but kind of just let it go due to me loving the energy was the AI bots I love that I’m able to customize and fully customize to my full capacity of how I want my interactions to be with the bots if you have any questions you can always ask the AI assistant And they will help you relatively quickly again. The only issue I had was with credits and then I had like a scam bot pop-up saying that my credits were gonna expire which I feel like is you earn your credit credits so please be on the lookout for that and be careful with that other than that the app is a really good app it’s not like an app you can just constantly message credits do cost unless you do the check-in and get the daily 10 to 25 credits which can be frustrating versus it being fully free for you to just be able to chat. I would say to better than I would make it to where you can watch more ads to get more credits or just giving you just a limit as not many people have money just to put into apps so that’s not fair. But if you have the time or can’t sleep at night, I do recommend this app to just chat your head off.

I’ve been using Popia for a while now and genuinely really enjoy it. The conversations can be incredibly immersive, and I love being able to build an ongoing story that continues to develop over time. I’ve definitely gotten attached to the characters and stories I’ve created, and I don’t mind spending money on the app because I enjoy it that much.There are a couple of things I’d love to see improved. I wish generated videos could use the appearance from the photo/persona I’ve provided instead of sometimes showing a random person who looks nothing like me. I’d also love for the monthly subscription to include more credits, since longer conversations can use them pretty quickly and often require purchasing additional credits.Overall, though, I’m having a lot of fun with Popia and think it has a ton of potential. The storytelling and immersive conversations keep me coming back. Definitely a 5-star experience for me, and I’m excited to see how the app continues to improve!

I really enjoy the app. My complaint is that if you really get into a storyline and character, the cost of each line of chat exponentially grows until it becomes almost prohibitive. For instance, I’m on day three with one of my chats and it already costs 50 candies to send one message. Considering you barely get 50 candies per day if you check in every day, and many days you don’t even get that much, even if you buy the biggest subscription plan, which is what I have, you can still run through your candy like water.So now I have to make a choice, to either spend more, which is what the app obviously wants, or to “restart my chat “which means I lose all of the previous information and start at the beginning of the premise. It seems like this app would be better for people who just want to do a lot of surface chats, rather than doing a couple that you really dive deep into. If they had an option to do unlimited in chatting, I would pay for it. Unfortunately, that’s not an option.
