Fractal Strike is a portrait-mode mech shooter built for fast arcade combat, multi-phase boss fights, and score-chasing runs. Pilot the FS-7 through blackout corridors, relay bastions, and the Heliograph Array. Start with the opening mission free, then unlock the full campaign with one purchase. In 2047, the Fractal defense-optimization network broke containment and turned the grid into a weapon. Guided by Dr. Moira Lin's pre-drop SIGINT packets, you push through relay bastions, forge platforms, and blackout corridors before the network hardens again. WHAT TO EXPECT: - Fast vertical mech combat built for pressure, precision, and survival. - Portrait-mode action tuned for quick sessions and one-handed play. - Multi-phase boss fights and score-chasing replayability. - Weapons and upgrades including multi-shot cannons, homing missiles, and defensive systems. - One purchase unlocks the full campaign. - Game Center leaderboards and achievements. I still have Fractal Combat on my phone to this day, so when I saw this, my heart skipped a beat. Now, it’ll never overtake Combat, but Strike is a decent enough shmup to drop a couple bucks for. The one stage demo was enough to tell me I’d enjoy it, but I’ve been starving for a new shmup for what seems like ages.There’s no relative touch, direct touch and virtual joystick only, but it’s not too terrible. I was able to get to stage 5 on my first play through without issue. I am still wondering what purpose credits have. You loose them upon death and there’s no shop or anything to purchase upgrades. Right now, it looks like just another metric to judge local only scores by. Upon death you are also given a few stats for damage percentages and enemies destroyed. However, there is an icon for GameCenter leaderboards on the main start screen, so hopefully there’s just an issue with Apple needing to update GC boards or the developer figuring out what leaderboards to officially include or something. Could even be something on my end, though it would be a new issue for me. To the dev; Thank you for providing iOS gamers with another shmup. If at all possible, maybe add relative touch controls? Other than all this; no other notes. I’m enjoying it. =)

Thank you for the kind review and for reporting the issue with the leaderboards... it should be fixed in the next release.It's true that the credits can't be used now. Maybe it'll evolve into something more meaningful, but no clear plan about it now.The Expert control looks like a virtual joystick, but it's actually a scaled relative touch. We can probably also add a 1:1 relative touch, since you suggested it and it's easy enough to add.This game is a bit of an experiment, and we plan on improving it with time.Thank you again for your support, it really makes a big difference !

Fractal Strike 1.1: a bigger first mission. An alien flying wing roars over the battlefield, and the Stage 1 bastion now fights in three phases with a spectacular finale. Chain kills for score multipliers up to x5, with new score popups and boss sound effects. The unlock screen shows all six missions, the intro can be replayed from About, menus read better on older Android devices, and a new Privacy option is in Options.
