The short version: everything that used to cost money is now free, the ritual got much easier to do on a real call, and there is more to keep on your phone. NOW FREE The app used to be paid. That was the wrong shape for something you do with another person, because both of you need the app. So it is free now. One optional theme is a small one-time purchase, and that is the only thing money buys here. SPOKEN SYNC CODES After you sync, both screens show the same short code, like NEON · TIGER · 42. Read it out loud and compare. Matching codes mean you really synced in the same moment. No more squinting at moving patterns. CALL MODE Hold the camera cell in the lower left corner of the grid. The scene rebuilds itself for webcams: thicker lines, one big shape, a giant code. Hold your phone up to the camera and the person on the other end can read it through the video stream. PRIVATE NOTES A small notepad behind a PIN. Open it from the help screen, or tap four times in the middle of the main screen. Notes stay on this phone and are never uploaded. SIX LANGUAGES English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Polish. Switch right inside the app, no trip to iOS Settings needed.
