I am really liking it so far, got the pro version through reddit! One suggestion is to be able to customize the daily notification timing.

Enjoying it so far but I have a suggestion

This app is cool. I like how simple it is. However, the pronunciation is terrible. Sometimes my brain doesn’t recognize the word so I need to hear it spoken, only for it to be pronounced terribly. I have to reveal the word only for it to dawn on me that I’ve known the word all along.

Thank you so much for the feedback and for your honest words! Thanks to your message, I noticed a bug in Word of the Day: pronunciations are not using each word’s correct language, unlike in search results. Thank you for pointing it out! It will be fixed in the next update :)Edit: it was fixed!

· Advanced translations
The English word "bank" can mean a place where you keep your money or the edge of a river. Palabros now shows the translation for each meaning, with a short explanation to help you pick the right one. Turn on bilingual mode in Settings › Language and tap the globe next to any word.
· New Reading Mode
Reading and come across a word you don’t know? Start a reading session and stay focused on your book. Whenever you find an unfamiliar word, just say it out loud: Palabros will clearly display its definition and explanations, without requiring you to unlock your iPhone, open the app, and search manually.
You can also have Palabros read the explanation aloud, so you don’t have to take your eyes off the page.
· Siri, Shortcuts, and App Intents
Palabros now integrates more deeply with Siri and Shortcuts. You can explain a word, save it, mark it as learned, start a review, open a saved word, or check the Word of the Day using your voice.
Try saying:
“Explain word with Palabros.” Siri will ask which word.
“Open Word of the Day in Palabros.”
“Review words with Palabros.”
With Apple Intelligence, you can ask for an explanation directly. If your device doesn’t support Apple Intelligence, add the “Explain word” shortcut once to use it with Siri. You’ll find a complete guide in Settings.
· New Widgets
Palabros Pro now includes a review widget: try to recall the meaning of a saved word, then tap the widget to reveal its definition.
On iOS 27, there’s also a new extra-large portrait Word of the Day widget, with more room for meanings and examples.
Saved-word widgets can now display simplified explanations when you choose one as your favorite meaning.

We’ve improved performance, syncing, and many details throughout the app to make Palabros faster and more reliable.
