Personalized Play button. Type a city and watch it slot into your trivia button — "Play Paris Trivia," or "Continue Tokyo Trivia" when you're picking up where you left off. More cinematic destinations. Bespoke arrival palettes for 15 new cities including Phuket, Bali, Marrakech, Reykjavik, Rio, and more — 25 cities total, each with their own visual identity. Polish under the hood. Faster city detection, friendlier error states, and a few small fixes that make the app feel snappier.

1.1.0 is the biggest BrainTrip release yet. The whole app got cinematic. NEW: AI Travel Postcards Every city now has eight unique postcards - one for each level you pass. Each one is AI-illustrated in a mid-century travel poster style, from L1 noon to L8 midnight. The collection levels up as you do. Pass a level and the postcard "develops" on screen like a polaroid. Unlock Level 7 to earn the Pathfinder's Cut with hand-finished gold foil. Hit Level 8 to claim the Legend's Cut - holographic, prismatic, ultra-rare. Save them to your Photos, share them on Instagram, or just keep them in your passport as proof of where you've been. NEW: Cinematic Arrival + Departure Tapping any city now plays a brief cinematic arrival - the screen morphs into that city's bespoke warm palette with drifting mesh motion and a journal-toned tagline. When you finish a level, a city-themed stamp drops into your passport with a soft thud. NEW: City Worlds Every city has its own visual fingerprint now. Paris is rose and cream. Tokyo is coral and ivory. Lisbon is golden hour terracotta. The entire app - trivia, scan, itinerary, passport - shades into whichever city you're in. No more generic backgrounds. IMPROVED: Voice Mode that follows along Voice Mode now shows the question card and answer options on screen while it reads aloud. A clear segmented toggle lets you switch between Read and Voice mid-round. Audio works flawlessly across speakers, headphones, and Bluetooth. IMPROVED: Smarter Scan AI Two-pass research generates richer, more verifiable facts about specific places - owners, design quirks, hidden histories, local legends. Anti-hallucination guards keep the AI honest when it doesn't know enough. Properly handles non-landmarks like food and screenshots. IMPROVED: Retry rounds are actually fresh Tapping "Retake Level" now generates a brand new question set with proper variety, mixing in a few of your previously missed questions so you can learn from them. POLISH: - Mode picker removed - the app now remembers your preference and routes you straight in - Edge-to-edge gradient on home and across all screens - Postage stamps now show IATA airport codes (PAR, NRT, JFK) instead of generic letters - New "Where Next?" ghost-stamp row in passport suggesting unvisited cities - Halftone print texture on all postcard art for that real Risograph feel - City-specific corner symbols on postcards: fleur-de-lis for Paris, sakura for Tokyo, palm for Dubai - Toast notifications replace blocking alerts for routine confirmations - Friendlier auth error messages with auto-recovery (existing email auto-switches to sign-in) - Stronger password requirements and inline email validation Got feedback? Tap "Contact Support" in profile settings - we're listening.

Big update this round - meet Voice Mode, the new way to play hands-free. NEW: Voice Mode trivia Listen to questions read aloud, tap your answer, hear the fun fact afterward. Perfect for travel days when you're walking, in transit, or just don't want to stare at a screen. NEW: Traveler levels and tiers Earn XP from every quiz, climb 8 tiers from Daydreamer to Legend, and watch your passport profile evolve as you level up. Each tier unlocks a new avatar ring, color, and celebration animation when you cross over. NEW: Perfect round bonus Score 8/8 on a quiz and get bonus XP plus a "Perfect round" badge - a small reward for going the distance. IMPROVED: Smarter Scan AI Point your camera at a landmark, restaurant, or hidden gem and get the deep story most travelers walk past. Two-pass research now pulls verifiable facts about specific places - owners, design details, hidden features, local legends. Faster too, with a multi-stage loading state and image caching. REDESIGNED: Passport A cleaner, more focused passport page with your avatar progress ring, recent XP earnings, and the three numbers that actually matter: Levels Passed, Perfect Rounds, and Streak. Earned cities now display as collectible postage stamps. IMPROVED: Better city search Search by city name OR state name. Type "florida" to find Miami, or "tx" to find Austin and Houston. Fixes and polish: - Profile photos now persist across app updates - Voice Mode reliability improvements - Floating glass tab bar with smoother transitions - In-app password change (no email round-trip) - Cleaner profile settings page - Strategic haptic feedback throughout Got feedback? We're listening - tap "Contact Support" in profile settings.
