$3.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Command the raiders or guard the king in premium 3D Hnefatafl, with Copenhagen-style rules, cinematic victories, solo AI, local multiplayer, sagas, and daily trials.
Tafl: Ancient Strategy brings Hnefatafl—the legendary Norse game of unequal armies—to a premium 3D table lit by candlelight.
Choose the Raiders and close the net around the king, or command the King’s Guard and open a road to a corner sanctuary. Every match uses a Copenhagen-style 11 × 11 ruleset, where the two sides have different forces, goals, and strategies.

Hnefatafl is asymmetric strategy: the Raiders move first and outnumber the defenders, but the king needs only one surviving road to escape. Learn the patterns, control the sanctuary lanes, and write your saga at the king’s table.
