I also really appreciate that the app is completely free, with no paywalls or premium subscription required. Definitely recommend it for Californians!

An incredibly useful app for staying informed and prepared during emergencies. AwareCA provide important and timely information, all in one place. Finding information is usually so difficult in searching everywhere but having access to updates that help keep my family and friends safe and informed, definitely recommend this app

Really useful app for staying informed about nearby wildfires and timely warning. I especially like the weather information and timely warnings. Definitely worth having.

I was actually looking forward to trying this, but it feels less like a new wildfire app and more like a group project where half the team gave up and nobody checked that it actually worked - or whether the wildfire information was actually updated. It’s not user friendly, requires a sign up just to access information, and then makes that information hard to find and not even reliably up to date. All the features in the world don’t help if the basics don’t work.
- Improved map reliability and smoother transitions between the main map and Incident Details.
- Improved wind visualization with more accurate particle movement and more reliable wind data updates.
- Improved Map Search so returning from an incident preserves your search and recenters the map.
- Simplified Incident Updates notification settings.
- Fixed camera playback, map icon flashing, aircraft image quality, and other stability issues.
