So I downloaded Dilemmo and used it back when it wasn’t a subscription based app, and the addition of a monthly fee wasn’t so bad since it still gave a single free dilemma a day. But with the current format I will still get notifications about my “free dilemma” for the day but unless I open the app from my notifications there is no way to get to it. And if I have to stop for some reason and come back then there is no longer a “in progress” or “free daily” section to navigate to. The new features seem clever and the addition of several new stories makes the subscription tempting, but making navigation for the returning free users abysmal and counter-intuitive as well as constantly updating the layout is a red flag. It screams of growing too fast for the developers to know how to handle themselves

SCAM/App doesn’t even work

I was forced to do a subscription for the free trial access and I felt like it wouldn’t be a problem to sign up/cancel immediately and then use the trial access to see how the app worked and if I wanted to invest in the subscription. Well they charged me for a year long subscription as a lump sum the second I opened the ‘free trial’. There is no free trial. You have to subscribe for access to it and no matter how quickly you cancel it they have already charged you for whatever they decide to charge and then you can’t actually get any money back. I tried to cancel through the Apple subscription section in settings in which it says not subscribed but I can’t even trust that because I have charges associated with this scam app. But wait there’s more!!Whenever I open the app it never actually opens. It just shows the app logo on my whole screen and if I tap anywhere on the screen (after waiting for it to load) it automatically starts a scenario-sometimes midway through I think- and I can’t do anything else or see any other screen. I can’t see any of the dilemmas or what my choices show about me as a whole or even at all. I can’t even see if I need to go through the app to truly stop any future charges because I can’t see anything. I can’t find any information on who to contact for help with the subscription/free trial hoax/money issue or in just getting the app to open enough for me to see my account or profile or access bug reporting.

The app is ok. I initially didn’t mind paying the fee because the idea of having feedback and analysis of my personality from the options we choose was fun and interesting. However, the model is extremely predatory. The app itself is honestly worth 5-10 (original payment was 10). Majority of the stories are clearly ai generated. Because of that I stopped using the app after about a week. I checked my App Store subscriptions to make sure that my subscription was canceled - nothing there. I should have known that like most predatory apps, they don’t even charge through the App Store. But it is WORSE. Not only do they not charge through the App Store, they charge you 3x+ what they charge in the first month. The app is CLEARLY not worth 32$. That is nothing but predatory. They stated several times in their emails back to me that they just won’t do a full refund back. So there’s no way to cancel that. They just prey on that random 32$ charge to fund whatever else they’re doing.Just don’t deal with this company or any of their apps.

This is entirely AI. I was pretty certain from the cartoon style at first, but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Then the gibberish letters within the cartoons showed up and I realized what a heartless scam this is. It starts by introducing you to two annual subscription plans, nothing monthly. One is about $60, one is about $70. The difference is the cheaper one is sold on their website so they don't have to pay app store fees (disguised as YOU don't have to pay app store fees). The $70 plan is sold on the app store. I assume that their whole business plan is getting people to opt into the weekly trial only to get grouped into the nonrefundable annual plan fee. The actual contents of the app are complete trash. Just AI cartoons of some scenario. At least you can fast forward. The plots are all predictable. I thought this app would be mental/philosophic exercises but instead it's all self-centered plots (ie, you hire a clone to be a replacement dad and work you. Oh, no! He is good at it and you look bad. Yadda yadda yadda.) Not a good app
