Hunt journal, maps & weather
$4.99 · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your hunting journal in English and German. Manage multiple hunting areas, share maps and notes, and review your hunts with weather and statistics.
Waidwerk brings your hunting journal, hunting area maps, weather, and statistics together. Record harvests and sightings, review your season, and stay connected with the people who share your hunting areas.
HUNTING JOURNAL AND STATISTICS
• Record species, date, time, hunting method, weight, age, notes, and photos
• Add weather conditions including temperature, wind, visibility, and precipitation
• Explore monthly summaries, frequently used stands, and a time-of-day heatmap
YOUR HUNTING AREAS ON THE MAP
• Create multiple hunting areas and switch between them
• Draw boundaries and move or delete individual boundary points
• Mark tree stands, box blinds, trail cameras, and other facilities
• View wind direction and scent cones on the map
• Return to your most recently selected area
SHARE YOUR HUNTING AREAS
• Invite other members through personal iCloud invitations
• Invited members can edit boundaries and add facilities
• Post shared notes with one photo per note on the bulletin board
• View notes from several hunting areas at once
• Edit notes together and enable notifications for new posts
WEATHER, MOON, AND PLANNING
• Weather conditions, moon phases, sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset
• A hunt planner offering a heuristic estimate based on weather, time, and species—not a guarantee of success
• A hunting calendar and a reference to German hunting seasons by state. This is not a guide to U.S. hunting regulations; always check the rules that apply where you hunt.
ENGLISH (US) AND GERMAN
• Choose your language in Settings
• U.S. hunting terminology and additional North American game species
• U.S. date and time formats with Fahrenheit, mph, miles, yards, and pounds, or German formats with metric units
• Set your profile name and preferred start view
• Dark Mode and a built-in user guide
Personal journal entries are stored on your device. Optional collaboration uses iCloud to sync shared hunting areas and bulletin board content. Sharing requires an Apple Account with iCloud; no separate Waidwerk registration is required.
Subscriptions are available for full access. Pricing, duration, and any eligible free trial are displayed before purchase. Eligible previous purchasers retain their permanent access.
