Adding to this a second time with 2 stars now - Upgrades during the game don’t even working several times. Checking stats after an upgrade and seeing that nothing has changed is quite aggravating. Adding to my original reviews - Now when merging items the new item disappears. Such wasted time. My rating has gone down now. One of the other reviews point out that the game forces you to spend green gems after each fight…. It’s one of the newer features that seems like a tutorial feature but it doesn’t go away and makes you exit the game after each fight because the “tutorial” isn’t working correctly. And when you log back in; it doesn’t force you to spend your gems. I absolutely also agree with that same review about increasing the energy… like it a lot and would easily play more with these fixes. If these don’t get fixed, especially the “tutorial” problem, it will push me to play less and less and eventually not at all.

Never thought I’d say this but more ads would be nice for some coins or to help upgrade your stats. Also maybe an option to revive even at half health would be nice. The game is fun just really slow to progress I’ve been playing for over a week and barely at lvl 3 because it’s so difficult. The prices to upgrade are so high it takes anywhere from 30-40 games to lvl up all stats to be able to advance and even stand a chance. Keep in mind you only have 5 energy and it takes 1 hour for each energy to recharge. Your only bet is to buy gems and they aren’t cheap and go very fast so it’s not worth it. The game would do a lot better with more ads to help with progress. Guaranteed more people would not only download but keep the game and spend more time playing and potentially money. Also the energy part of the game is ridiculous. The enemies really need to be balanced only being on level 3 and even the most basic enemies take 7 hits to kill. By the time the 3rd wave comes you’re surrounded being hit by 15-20 enemies while 1 enemy is tanking all the hits. The bosses are weaker than the normal enemies. Come on devs if you want people to spend money you need to make it more accessible to people. Otherwise this game is gonna die faster than your fighter does in round 3 after the 3rd wave.

Really fun game with a serious late-game balance problem. I accidentally built a character with so much sustain that I basically can’t die, but my damage hasn’t kept up with enemy health. By Stage 5, levels were taking over an hour, and Stage 6 has gotten ridiculous. I’ve spent 3+ hours just getting about a quarter through one stage. My character heals faster than enemies can damage him, but it can take around 100 punches to kill a single enemy. The bigger problem is that the game has to stay open for progress. If I switch apps, the run pauses, and if iOS eventually closes the game I can lose hours of progress. There’s no way to save and resume the current run without abandoning it completely.I actually like the build system a lot, which is how I ended up here. I found a helmet that heals 5% after freezing 20 enemies and built around freeze, then invested heavily into damage, crit chance and crit damage. I’m at 88.8% crit chance and 4.2x crit damage and enemies still take forever. Without the healing helmet, Stage 6 kills me in a couple minutes; with it, I’m practically immortal. That’s way too big a gap.Enemy health needs to scale down, damage needs to scale better, or there needs to be some mechanic that prevents these multi-hour stalemates. Most importantly, please add a save-and-resume feature for runs. I don’t mind difficult games at all. I’d rather lose a difficult fight because my build wasn’t good enough than “win” by leaving my iPhone open for 8 hours. There’s a really fun game here—the late-game balance just needs work.

Before the latest update, I was stuck on stage six. Enemies seemed to have health in the hundreds of thousands. It took twenty minutes just to level up once. There was one item that restored health when freezing 20 enemies. That item was broken in a way that basically made your puncher immortal. It sounds fun until you realize the enemies were also basically immortal. No joke, I had multiple sessions that lasted 15+ hours. If you closed out the app for more than a few seconds, the game just ended. If it went on too long, it also just ended. Spontaneously. No warning. Any energy spent on reward multipliers was just gone, no rewards. Then, update. The items were reworked. There was no more healing. I thought that was the end, but the enemies were also reworked to have significantly less health. It went from hundreds or thousands of punches per kill to a single punch per enemy. Every enemy. Every boss. The introduction of the Giant also provided *thousands* of energy per day. The 25x multiplier is trivial now. There is no challenge. I came out of this update with a GP so high that I’ve used Quick Win on every dungeon for the past week. I maxed out the entire talent tree the first day. I have more crystals than I can ever hope to spend. I’ve spent more time opening collectibles chests with crystals than anything else and still have more than half a million crystals. The fun has been sucked out of the game. It went from “More difficult than you can ever hope to beat” to “It doesn’t matter what you pick at level up because you can’t possibly lose”The second star is there because stages 1 through 5 pre-update were actually fun and challenging.
