Dial in better espresso, one shot at a time.
Espresso Shot Log is a focused espresso tracker and coffee journal for home baristas. Record the variables behind each pull, keep every bean organized, and return to the settings that worked instead of starting from memory.
LOG EVERY SHOT
Capture the details that shape your espresso:
• Bean and grinder
• Grind setting
• Dose and yield
• Brew ratio
• Extraction time
• Water temperature
• Notes and latte art
START FROM YOUR LAST RECIPE
Choose a bean and Espresso Shot Log can fill in the grinder, grind setting, dose, yield, time, and temperature from your previous shot. Use that recipe as your starting point, make one adjustment, and keep dialing in.
BUILD A HISTORY FOR EVERY BEAN
Save each coffee with its roaster, origin, roast date, photo, and tasting notes. Open any bean to review its shots, see what you used, and find a past recipe without searching through a notebook.
KEEP YOUR ESPRESSO ROUTINE IN ONE PLACE
• Review every saved shot
• Edit or delete entries whenever you need
• Track a daily shot streak
• Save latte art in a dedicated gallery
• Favorite your best pours
• Create polished cards to share your shots
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
Espresso Shot Log keeps the focus on your coffee. Whether you are opening a new bag, adjusting a grinder, or trying to repeat yesterday's best pull, your espresso history stays close at hand.
Download Espresso Shot Log and start building a better record of every shot.
Updated: pretty good app with responsive developers
Btparques
My more critical review drew a swift and helpful response from the developers. They fixed the bugs that I experienced in their update. So now this thing does what it supposed to do. I do wish that it would work when there is no Wi-Fi or cellular connection. The data could be stored locally to a server when a connection is established. Maybe that already happens. I just don’t know.
Developer Response
We're very sorry about this. We found and fixed the backend migration issue that caused some beans and photos to appear missing, restored the affected data, and improved the related loading behavior. The fix is live now—no additional update is required. Please fully close and reopen Espresso Shot Log to refresh your data. If anything is still missing, please contact App Support and we'll investigate immediately.
Great simple app
JTM4311
Great simple little app. Makes it easy to track all kinds of shot data without using the old notebook method. I hope this takes off!
Developer Response
Thank you, JTM4311. Making shot logging faster and cleaner than keeping a paper notebook is exactly what I hoped Espresso Shot Log would do. I appreciate the support.
My own barista with this app!
RushedPolished
This will save me the $7-10 per day of fancy coffee, AND I get to parade around in my robe! Must have in cold weather!
Developer Response
Thank you, RushedPolished. Better espresso at home and coffee in a robe sounds like a strong combination. I am glad Espresso Shot Log is part of your setup.
Great little tool!
RMRamp
Wonderfully designed free app that helps track all my espresso creations and beans. Best of the bunch.
Developer Response
Thank you, RMRamp. I am glad the design makes it easy to keep your beans and espresso shots organized. Thanks for taking the time to review the app.
• Offline journaling: existing installations copy and verify their records and photos on this device before switching to local storage. Keep the app open and connected during this one-time transfer.
• New beans, shots, edits, and photos stay on this device after migration. Local changes do not sync between devices.
• Export and restore encrypted backups in Privacy & Data. Keep a backup to protect against losing your device or deleting the app.
• Better local photo previews, including older HEIC photos.
• Cloud originals are retained. If a transfer cannot be verified, you can continue using the existing online library.
