The NCCCO written exam requires a 70 percent score. Load charts account for 26 percent of the Core exam. BETTER STANDARD REFERENCES
216 questions now cite the standard they come from — ASME B30.5, B30.9,
B30.26, OSHA 1926.1402-1404, 1926.1412, 1926.1419-1422 — instead of a generic
reference.
CORRECTED FIELD MATH
The outrigger pad calculator now sizes pads from worst-case corner loading
instead of an even four-way split, which understated ground bearing pressure
during a lift. Wind derating follows manufacturer-style percentage bands.
Choker hitch capacity no longer takes a sling angle reduction that doesn't
apply to a single-leg pull. One power line clearance card was corrected: with
unknown voltage, maintain 20 feet, or 50 feet above 350 kV.
