Your .m4a recording file is never stored by Lecsy — it stays on your iPhone, never saved to your account or our servers. For transcription, audio is handled two ways: during Premium AI and Pro cloud transcription, audio is sent over TLS to our speech-to-text provider, transcribed, and not stored by Lecsy; otherwise transcription runs entirely on your iPhone and audio never leaves your device. Transcript text syncs to your account only when you're signed in. Using AI Summary or Exam Mode sends your transcript text (not audio) to our server and to OpenAI's API to generate results; OpenAI does not train on API content. No ads, no trackers, no IDFA. We never sell your data, and our providers do not train on it per their API terms.

Received a phone call and declined it during a recording and lost my recording. Locked my phone and reopened the app and lost my recording. It doesn’t automatically save anything, you have to manually save it so if it glitches then you lose the recording. No way to take notes after the fact. Transcription isn’t the greatest especially for someone with a non-American accent. Super bare bones and hardly works unless you have the app open the whole time, don’t lock your phone, and don’t receive any phone calls. No way to contact support or report a bug/glitch, hence this review instead of emailing the dev. However the app is very new and has potential that’s why it gets 2 stars and not just 1. I may revisit this app later to see if it has improved.
