Four alarm melodies instead of one. Settings has a Sound row that finally opens: Classic, Chimes, Sunrise and Pulse, each playable before you choose it. The one you pick rings everywhere the alarm rings — in the app, from a notification, and on the lock screen. The volume buttons now take the photo. At seven in the morning, pressing the side of the phone you are already holding beats finding a button on the screen. Fixes: snooze went quiet instead of ringing back, and swiping the alarm notification away left it ringing until the auto-silence.

Imported photos now keep the day they were taken. Bring an old series back from a backup or another phone and it lands on its own dates instead of all on today. Fixed the crash that hit when you tapped an alarm notification and the app was not already running. The activity ring is now a calendar year. Arrows below it move between years, so nothing older than twelve months disappears any more. Snooze finally snoozes: the alarm goes quiet and comes back five minutes later. Swiping the notification away stops it too. Turkish has its diacritics back across the whole app.

If the app was showing only your recent photos and an older series seemed to be missing, this fixes it. With limited photo access iOS hides the FaceAlarm album, and the app was creating a second, empty one instead of finding it. Your photos were never lost, just in the album the app had stopped reading. Settings now has Import old photos: pick as many as you like, and they are added to the album with their original dates. Photos already there are skipped, so you can run it twice safely.

Settings, alarm buttons and notifications were showing in English on Russian and Turkish phones. They are properly translated now. New in Settings: • Mirror selfie — choose whether a photo is saved the way you see yourself in the viewfinder, or the way the camera sees you. • Sync photos — checks the FaceAlarm album and tells you how many photos it can see. If you reinstalled the app or granted access to only some photos, this is where your old series turns up. Your photos live in your own photo library, so uninstalling never deleted them.

• New: Yearly activity ring - see your selfie streak for the entire year • Improved AI face alignment for more consistent photo positioning • Bug fixes and stability improvements
