I tried a couple of other workout planner apps but none of them felt like they adjusted with my routines and progression. I wanted a simpler planning app that was easy to customize. This did it all and the free version had so many helpful features.
Solid app!
OneCornerstone
So, Forge is a really cool app. Love that it creates a program for you. Has a smooth and highly usable UI. Replacing exercises mid-workout doesn’t delete set data (hallelujah). Has an Apple Watch app. Handles progression. It also notes patterns in your workout and adapts based on fatigue. Why four stars? Well, for the price it feels a little light on features. I was hoping for an easier to use Watch app and the ability to do things like create a superset or easily edit routines without having to start a workout. However, I’ll return to this review soon after using the app longer.Overall, this is a really solid strength training app and worth trying out!
- Importing your history now rebuilds your routines automatically, with your set counts, rep ranges, and last weights
- Coming back after a break, Today prepares a lighter restart and a 5-minute "Just show up" session
- Shared routine links open a preview for friends without FORGE, and referral codes give you both a week of premium
- New personal records and milestone sessions get a shareable card, and reminders now name your next session
- Faster setup, watch workouts that sync reliably even when your phone is away, and dozens of fixes to make every session smoother
