In this update: • For new users: a simpler setup. Start with your situation, choose how often to check in (extra check-in times, or a lighter once-a-week check-in, on paid plans), and create your account before choosing a plan • Sign-in codes now fill in all 6 digits when your iPhone suggests the code • If you check in once a day, checking in before your time now more reliably stops that day's reminder • If you're someone's emergency contact, opening the app now reconnects this iPhone for their alerts (notifications need to be on) • If you signed up with Apple, the login screen now offers to continue with Apple instead of a dead end • Your paid plan is recognised again after a restart, and Restore Purchases works from the upgrade screen • On Family Plus, Today's Activity now shows charging and movement, not just app opens • The app now tells you when a newer version is available

Fixes and improvements: • Signing out now fully clears your session, so reinstalling the app starts fresh • A smoother start — fewer steps before you're set up • Reliability improvements to check-in reminders

What's new in 2.3.3 Check in once, and every screen agrees. - Checked in from the home-screen widget? The reminder for that window is cancelled, so you are never told to check in again for something you already did. - Each check-in window is recorded once. Adding a note later attaches it to that check-in instead of creating another. - The widget, the contact widget and the Apple Watch now always show today: after midnight they reset to the day's next check-in instead of showing yesterday's. - History reads "Checked in at 8:01 AM" with where it came from (widget, Siri, watch or app) underneath. - Fixes for a slow first screen on fresh installs and for the widget saying you were signed out when you were not. - Faster first screen after signing in.

What's new in 2.3.2 This release is about the check-in you can trust - on the widget and in the app. • The home-screen widget now answers every tap: Checking… the instant you tap, then Checked in. One tap makes exactly one check-in, even if you tap twice. • Fixed: the widget could say "Sign in" while you were already signed in, and its one-tap check-in would silently do nothing. • Fixed: the app could sit on a loading screen for half a minute after opening. It now loads straight away, and a check-in that can't reach us tells you within seconds and keeps retrying. • Fixed: the home screen could show yesterday's check-in tick the next morning. • Widget layout no longer clips at the edges on smaller iPhones. • Weekly check-ins are now part of the paid plans, alongside 3× daily. What's new in 2.3.1 This release is mostly about making sure the app tells you the truth. • Signing in and creating an account are now separate. Signing in can no longer create a second account by mistake, and if we don't recognise your email we say so instead of quietly starting over. • We remember how you last signed in — with Apple, Google, or your email — so you land back in the right account. • Home is honest about your protection. If you have no one to alert yet, it says so plainly rather than implying you're covered. • Emergency location sharing has been repaired. If we can't get your location, your contacts are told that too, instead of an alert that looks complete. • You can turn off the early check-in reminder: Settings › Check-in › Advanced. • Phone numbers now default to your own country, so contacts are saved in a form we can actually text. Fall detection is available on Protect Me and Protect Me On The Move. It stays off until you switch it on, uses your phone's motion sensors, checks on you first, and alerts the contacts you chose — never emergency services. Best-effort, and not a medical device.
