Point your phone at the sky. The new Sky tab labels every navigational body in view — the sun, moon, all four navigational planets, and 58 navigational stars. Magnetic compass plus on-device ephemeris. No internet required. Tap a label to start a sight on that body with the time already stamped. If your compass is noisy, Sky tells you and shows the figure-8 motion to recalibrate.

Map and fix overhaul. NEW • The Fix is now a real fix. With two LOPs the app shows their spherical great-circle intersection. With three or more it shows the cocked-hat centroid. Previously the 'Fix' label was just the most recent LOP's intercept point. • Running fix with DR. Earlier LOPs are now automatically advanced forward in time by the recorded DR legs before computing the fix. • DR legs render on the map as dashed blue lines. • DR entry sheet: enter course, speed, and duration with steppers — the live distance preview shows you what you're committing to. The old hardcoded button is gone. • Green Fix marker drops on the map at your computed fix. • Context-aware coach text under the map explains what you have and what to do next (no LOPs, single LOP, 2 LOPs, cocked hat). Plus everything from v1.3 (help system, settings screen, picker fix, limb auto-default, what's new screen).

NEW • Planets: take sights of Venus, Mars, Jupiter, or Saturn with full geocentric ephemeris. • Noon Sight: classic latitude from the sun's meridian altitude, with predicted LAN time. • All 58 standard navigational stars (up from 20). • Multi-shot averaging: capture a series of readings and save the trimmed mean. • Export sight records as CSV or printable PDF work-forms. NEW TOOLS • Polaris one-shot latitude (northern hemisphere). • Solar Compass: compare the sun's true bearing to your compass for magnetic correction. FIXES • Camera sextant now applies the full correction stack: limb, height of eye, index error, temperature, pressure. • Gravity-based roll-compensated altitude with level-lock for accurate hand-held shots.
