The reading mode is the heart of Wave. Full articles instead of truncated previews – even when a feed only offers a teaser, Wave fetches the complete text and formats it cleanly. Images, tables, videos, and quotes appear exactly where they belong. A full-bleed, distraction-free reading space puts the words front and center.
Tuned to you
Six reading themes (from light through sepia to night mode) and six font families let you shape the page the way your eyes like it. Dynamic Type and VoiceOver are fully supported.
Your data stays yours
Wave is built local-first. Your articles and reading progress stay on your device – never uploaded to someone else's cloud. Your feeds and folders sync privately across your Apple devices via iCloud. No selling accounts, no tracking, no profiles.

A lot has happened since version 2.0 – this update brings all of it together:
Noticeably faster
• The home screen, scrolling, search, and refreshing your feeds are all much smoother – especially with many subscriptions and long articles.
• The unread counter now updates virtually instantly.
• Full-text search scans large numbers of articles faster and more reliably.
More languages & better accessibility
• Wave is now fully available in German, English, Spanish, and French – from the FAQ to error messages to onboarding.
• VoiceOver hints in the filter and tab bars are now localized, for smoother eyes-free use.
Cleaner reading
• Article cards now reliably show the real lead image instead of an accidental promo or notice banner. Recurring placeholder graphics are detected and filtered out automatically.
• The article headline now sits clearly below the cover image instead of on top of it – even over bright or busy photos.
More dependable day to day
• More accurate unread counts when deleting and resetting articles.
• Clean plural forms in import notices, plus many under-the-hood improvements for a more reliable experience.
