RosterHub: Sports Team Manager
Coach, Schedule & Game Film
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Managing a youth sports team shouldn't take five different apps. RosterHub brings coaching, scheduling, and team management into one place — built coaches-first, for the people who actually run the team.
Most team apps stop at a schedule and a roster. RosterHub goes further, giving coaches real development tools alongside everything you need to keep a season organized.
COACHING & DEVELOPMENT
- Video Analysis with on-screen drawing tools AND voiceover — break down game film and send players exactly what to fix.
- Digital Whiteboards with drawing and voiceover — design plays and drills your team will actually watch.
- Season Stats to track performance all year.
- Fitness assignments and tracking to keep players game-ready.
- Training content library to share at the team's fingertips.
RUN THE SEASON
- Scheduling & events with RSVP tracking — know who's coming before you get to the rink.
- Full roster management.
- Team chat, announcements, and "Ask the AD."
- Budget tracking and management.
- Carpool coordination and location sharing for travel days.
- Volunteer and item trackers so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Game Day music soundboards.
CONNECT & COMPETE
- Game Finder to discover and connect with teams looking to play — accessible globally.
- My Hockey Rankings (MHR) integration for hockey programs.

more Voiceovers for video review
Talk over the play as it happens. Record a voice note while the film keeps rolling and your commentary plays over the action, with the video's own sound dipping so you're easy to hear. Prefer the old way? Pause notes still stop the video exactly as before — choose which kind you want before you record.
Every markup in one list
Tap Markups to see everything on a clip — drawings, voice notes and text — in order with timestamps. Tap any row to jump straight to that moment instead of scrubbing for it.
Markups match the web editor
Circles, highlighter and arrows now land in the same place and at the same size as they do on the web, including on portrait video shot on a phone. What a coach draws is what the team sees.
More accurate attendance
Event attendance counts rostered players only, so the number on your schedule and the number inside the event finally agree.

Video review, rebuilt
Team polls
Ask your team a question right in chat — snack duty, the team meal, which
tournament hotel — and get an answer you can count. Results update live as
people vote, and you can set a deadline or close a poll early once you have
what you need.
Your video library, at a glance
Every video now shows its opening frame and how long it runs, instead of a
blank placeholder.
Markups that land where you drew them
Drawings made on a phone and drawings made on the web now line up exactly, so
what you circle is what your players see.
Voice notes that actually play
Record a note straight from the player — the microphone no longer hides behind
the drawing tools. Notes recorded on the web now play on iPhone, and scrubbing
back replays them instead of skipping past.
Notes for the whole review
Open a review's notes from the player, read them while you watch, and edit them
without leaving the video.
Clearer roster roles
Choosing someone's spot on the roster no longer looks like it hands them coach
access. The roster says plainly what it controls, and points you to Team
Members when you actually want to give someone access to coach tools.
Share an invite with or without an email
You can now share an invite code for contacts who have no email address on
file — useful for grandparents, second households, and anyone who would rather
just be handed a code.
Volunteer signups show your name
Signing up for a job now records your name instead of a generic "Volunteer".

A tidier team home
The team header reads at a glance. Your own record is labelled clearly, and
MyHockeyRankings figures sit under their own heading — appearing only when
there is something to show, instead of a row of zeros.

2.0.24 Sep 2
Schedule
• RSVP counts on your schedule now match what's inside the event. Some rows
were showing zeros even when people had already replied.
• Those counts stay current as replies come in — no more leaving the screen
and coming back to see the real numbers.
• Redesigned rows: a bigger date on the left and a full-width event title that
no longer wraps, so more of your schedule fits on screen at once.
For coaches and managers
• You can now change an RSVP you've already set for a player. Previously you
could only set one the first time.
Team rankings
• Rankings stay visible when an automatic update isn't available, and a coach
or manager can keep them up to date.
Fixes
• The floating + button no longer sits on top of the send button in chat, or
over other screens.
• Announcements, your schedule, and support tickets refresh on their own when
you come back to the app.
• Subscription and access changes apply as soon as you reopen RosterHub —
no force-quit needed.
2.0.19 Aug 12
Getting a new team going is quicker, and you now control which
notifications you get.
• Notification settings that work. Choose exactly which alerts you
want — RSVPs, schedule changes, chat, announcements and more. Turn
off what you don't need and we'll stop sending it.
• A new "Get your team started" checklist walks you through your
first three steps: your team profile, your first player, and
inviting them to the app.
• A new + button on your team's home screen — add a roster member,
add an event, or post an announcement without hunting for the
right tab.
• Playing a game? Add the opposing coach's email and we'll send them
the details, plus an update if the time or location changes.
Fixes:
• Coaches and managers are no longer asked for an emergency contact
or a parent's details when joining a team.
• "Invite them to the app" now shows you how to invite, instead of
just dropping you on the roster.
2.0.18 Aug 9
Version numbering note: the iPhone app now shares the same version line as
RosterHub on the web, so this release jumps from 1.7 to 2.0.14.
Choose your Pro teams
Create as many teams as you like — they're free. If you have RosterHub Pro,
you now pick which of your teams use the Pro features, right from Settings.
Change your mind any time; turn Pro off for one team and it frees up for
another.
Answer a whole season at once
Bulk RSVP is here. Set your availability across many upcoming events in one
action — either answer everything, or fill in only the events you've left
blank. Past events are never touched.
Invite links that just work
Tap a rosterhub.app/join link and the app opens straight to the join screen
instead of bouncing you through the browser.
Pull to refresh
Swipe down on the Schedule and on an event's availability list to pull in the
latest.
Also in this release
• A month calendar that actually marks the days with events, and moves with you
as you page between months
• Clearer locked states: when a team's premium tools aren't available, the app
now says so up front and explains why, instead of letting you tap in and hit
an error
• Photos: the storage summary stays accurate after you add or delete an album
• Team Settings no longer offers a share link while the join code is switched off
• Various fixes to how each team's plan is shown, so a team's badge always
matches what it can actually do
2.0.14 Jul 30
1.7.37
• Schedule list now shows the complete opponent name for every game — longer team names are no longer cut off.
1.7.36
• Redesigned the Schedule list for easier reading — clear HOME/AWAY tag, opponent name, and a clean single-line date and time.
• Fixed clearing a game's "time TBD" so it stays cleared once you set a real time.
• Stability improvements for teams using newer sports.
1.7.38 Jun 21
Private chats are here!
• New private channels — tap New Channel, choose Private, pick the teammates to include, and give the chat a name (or let it name itself from the participants).
• Anyone on the team can start a private chat with the people they choose.
• Manage your channels — chat owners, coaches, and managers can now rename or delete a chat to keep the list tidy.
Thanks for using RosterHub! Keep the feedback coming.
1.7.33 Jun 10
New in this update:
Live Game Clock
Run a game clock — set, start, pause, and stop — right from the game screen, with a LIVE badge so everyone can see a game is in progress.

Your team's win-loss-tie record now appears on the team's main page, so you can see how the season is going at a glance.
Better Goalkeeper Stats (Soccer)
Track Goals Against and Shutouts for your keepers.

What's new in RosterHub 1.7.20
- Live game scoring — coaches and managers can tap any game on the schedule
and update the home/away score in real time. Mark it final when the
game's over and it locks for everyone.
- RosterHub Diagnostics (Android) — a small backup icon on your home
screen. If the main app ever fails to open, tap it so we can help.
- More resilient sign-in, plus a smoother first-time setup wizard for
new accounts.
Thanks for playing along — Bryan & the RosterHub team
1.7.20 May 25
- **New: Help & Support** — submit tickets, message admins, get push notifications when they reply (Settings → Help & Support)
- **New: Sign-in diagnostics** — debug screen to copy your auth state when reporting an issue (Settings → App)
- **Magic-link sign-in stays signed in longer** — and when it does expire, your email is pre-filled with a one-tap "Get a new code" button
- **Notification taps land in the right place** — tapping a chat / event / announcement notification for a different team now switches teams AND opens the correct screen instead of dropping you on the home dashboard
- **Roster Players list no longer shows duplicates** — coaches who are also listed as their kid's emergency contact appear once, not twice
- **Chat badges no longer get stuck** — non-coaches don't see persistent unclearable badges from coaches-only channels
- **Tighter security on team data** — server now requires team membership for 73 endpoints; if you leave a team, your calendar subscription URL stops working instantly
1.7.16 May 22
- Badge count fixes
1.6.8 May 15
What's new in 1.6.6
This release is all about polish and reliability — the kind of fixes you only notice when they're missing.
- Notifications route better. Tap an event reminder, RSVP push, or announcement reply, and you'll land on the right screen — even if you're signed in to multiple teams. Reply pushes now show the actual reply text right on the lock screen, not just "someone replied."
- Badges behave. The red counts on your tabs and app icon now clear when you'd expect — when you open the screen, when you mark something as read, when you sign out. No more lingering counts from your last session.
- Photos library clears faster. Opening the Photos tab marks every album as viewed at once.
- Parents and guardians get the Invite button. If you're linked to a player, you can invite contacts and manage that player's connections directly — no need to wait for a coach.
- Coaches can delete their own videos right from the video review area.
- Smoother multi-team experience. Switching teams now refreshes rosters and RSVP lists cleanly.
- Delete Team has a safety net. Type the team name to confirm — prevents fat-fingered deletes.
- Bug fixes throughout: more reliable sign-in, smoother profile setup, better notification routing.

1.6.2 Apr 30
What's new in v1.3.54:
• Tap to act in chat — URLs, phone numbers, and email addresses are now live links in messages, so you can call, text, or open a website with one tap.
• Date stamps everywhere — chat messages, announcements, and replies now show "Today," "Yesterday," or a date when they're older, so it's clear when something was posted.
• Invite-code on/off — head coaches and managers can now disable the team's join code in Team Settings once the roster is set, keeping the team private after sign-ups close.
• RSVP on behalf of anyone — coaches and managers can mark Going, Maybe, or Not Going for any player who hasn't responded, including players who don't have the app yet. Their real name shows in the response list.
Thanks for using RosterHub!

What's New in Version 1.3.51
Gametime Music, Perfected
Music now pre-downloads in the background so your playlist hits instantly — no buffering when it matters most. Your screen also stays awake the entire time music is playing, so the party doesn't stop mid-song.
Tap to Call, Text, or Email
Phone numbers and email addresses in roster profiles are now fully tappable. One tap opens your phone, messages, or mail app. Long-press any contact to get a full action menu — call, text, email, or copy their info to the clipboard.
Contacts Visible to the Whole Team
Parent, guardian, and emergency contacts added to a player's profile are now visible to all team members — not just coaches. Everyone has the information they need when it counts.
Copy Any Chat Message
Long-press a message in team chat to copy it to your clipboard.
Apple Private Email Warning
If a teammate signed up with a hidden Apple relay address, they'll now see a clear in-app notice explaining the issue and how to fix it — so no more messages disappearing into the void.

RSVP in a tap — a new RSVP button appears right on your schedule list so
you can respond to upcoming events without opening the details screen.
Status indicators show your answer at a glance with color-coded icons.
Never miss a schedule update — the schedule tab badge now clears
automatically when you open the schedule, so you always know what's new.
Push notifications now take you straight to the right screen — tapping a
notification for a game, announcement, or chat message lands you exactly
where you need to be.
Reply to announcements and reach everyone — when you reply to a team
announcement, the whole team gets notified, not just the original poster.
Add music from your Apple Music Library — coaches can now pick songs
directly from their iPhone music library (in addition to Files) when
uploading warmup, cooldown, or pump-up tracks for the team.
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
1.3.40 Mar 29
Quick RSVP from the Schedule
You can now respond to upcoming events directly from the schedule list — no need to open the event. Tap the calendar button on any upcoming event and choose Going, Maybe, or Can't Go in one tap. Your response is reflected instantly with a color-coded icon right on the row.
Smarter Schedule Badge
The Schedule tab badge now only counts events you haven't seen yet. Once you visit the Schedule, the badge clears automatically. It comes back when new events are added that still need your RSVP.
Push Notifications Now Navigate Correctly
Tapping a push notification for a new chat message, announcement, or schedule change now takes you directly to the right place in the app.
Announcement Replies Notify the Author
When someone replies to your announcement, you'll receive a push notification and the announcement will reappear as unread so you don't miss responses from your team.
General Improvements
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
1.3.38 Mar 28
New Features
Event Management
Cancel Event with Notifications — Coaches now have two distinct actions when removing an event:
Cancel Event — sends push notification and email to all team members with event details
Delete Without Notifying — quietly removes the event with no team notification
Both single events and recurring series support cancel (this event only / all future / entire series)
Email notifications — All event changes (created, updated, cancelled) now trigger transactional emails to team members in addition to push notifications. Emails include event title, date, time, location, and an optional "what changed" summary
Push Notification Deep Links
Tapping an event push notification now navigates directly to that event's detail screen instead of just opening the app to the home screen
Works when app is in the foreground, background, or fully closed
Schedule & Availability
Team availability visible to all members — The RSVP summary (Going / Maybe / Not Going / Pending) is no longer restricted to coaches; all team members can see it on event detail
Guardians excluded from availability counts — Pending count and roster spot counts no longer include guardians, so headcount reflects actual players and staff
Game Statistics
Stats entry now works for all app users — players who have an account but no manual roster entry are automatically linked on first stat submission
Coaches and managers excluded from the stats entry player list
Baseball/Softball pitcher split — pitching stats (ERA, IP, strikeouts, walks, hits allowed) are collected separately from field player stats (AVG, OBP, SLG, HR, RBI, etc.) when the pitcher toggle is on
Roster
Guardians removed from the roster list view — they are linked contacts, not roster spots
Roster count (free tier limit display) no longer counts guardians
Improvements
Music timeline — BPM tempo and beat/measure markers now shown on the music snippet waveform timeline
Light mode — Fixed text and section header visibility across Home, Schedule, Roster, and Settings screens in light mode
Roster labels — Added Avery 94207 label sheet export format
Game Finder — Renamed from "Games" throughout the app for clarity
Push token — Device timezone is now sent with token registration for more accurate reminder scheduling
Bug Fixes
Fixed chat message ownership detection — own messages now correctly identified using team member ID matching
Fixed push notifications not working in Release builds (auth token handling in production)
Fixed calendar subscription URL scheme (webcal:// corrected for iOS Calendar compatibility)
Fixed nav bar title color in light mode across all navigation contexts
Fixed guardians being excluded from fitness plan assignments (guardians can now be assigned fitness plans on behalf of their player)
1.3.32 Mar 28
Push notifications — aps-environment: production entitlement fixed so Release builds register tokens; push re-registration on every foreground
Auth fix — fetchCurrentUser was calling the wrong endpoint
Chat layout — own messages on the left, others on the right
Email reminders — first_name → display_name fix so 48h/24h reminder emails actually send
1.3.22 Mar 23
Bug Fixes
Mile time save error — Silent no-op when saving a mile time now shows an error alert with the actual failure reason (MyFitnessView.swift)
Calendar export 0-events — exportToCalendar() was iterating the wrong array (upcomingEvents vs events), causing zero events to export
Auth bug fix — fetchCurrentUser() was hitting the wrong endpoint causing session corruption on team join and other flows
Event Management
Start/end date validation — Both CreateEventView and EditEventView auto-correct end date to start + 1 hour if it would precede start time
Calendar Subscription
Subscribe to Calendar — New "Auto-Sync" menu option using webcal:// to subscribe iOS Calendar to the team feed (live updates)
Improved UX — Section headers separating "Auto-Sync" vs "One-Time Export", success alert confirming subscription was set up, better error messages including feed URL
Push Notifications
Assignment notifications — Players receive push notifications when assigned to whiteboards, video sessions, or training plans
send_push_notification flag — All three assignment types support opt-out flag for silent assignment
1.3.20 Mar 22
Voiceovers for video review
