PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Fauna requires no account and includes no advertising or third-party analytics. Favorites, viewing history, and custom-cycle photos stay on your devices and are not available to the developer.
Animal images and further reading are provided through Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. An internet connection is needed to download images and open articles.
Fauna has been rebuilt with a richer Today experience, a challenge-based collection that grows as you discover each daily animal, favorites, viewing streaks, daily reminders, and improved custom cycles.
Widgets can now be configured independently for the daily animal or any cycle, with reliable full-color image rendering on physical devices. This update also adds local backup and restore, image credits, deep links, clearer widget onboarding, and broader accessibility and localization polish.
