PSLM
Sacred music, understood
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
PSLM is a companion for discovering sacred classical music and understanding the faith and history behind it.
From the motets of the Renaissance to the requiems of the Romantic age, this repertoire is among the most moving music ever written. It can also feel remote: Latin titles, liturgical seasons, and centuries of tradition that nobody explains. PSLM was built to open that world. Whether you grew up with this music or you are hearing a mass for the first time, it helps you find the next work and understand what you are hearing.
A NEW WORK EVERY DAY
Today's Piece brings you a handpicked sacred composition each morning, chosen for its beauty, its place in the liturgy, or the story behind it. Alongside it, recommendations in the same vein, so a simple habit steadily widens your ear.
THE SACRED CATALOG
Explore the repertoire the way it is actually connected. Browse masses, requiems, oratorios, motets, cantatas, passions, and more. Follow a composer, a genre, a period, or a tradition — Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, Orthodox, Jewish, and others — and move freely between them. Read about a composer, open one of their works, see who has recorded it, and go on to the next. Every discovery leads naturally to the next.
UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE HEARING
Every piece comes with clear context in plain language: movements and their sacred texts, liturgical season, genre, period, and a composer biography. Guided questions let you go deeper — on a work, a composer, a genre, a period, or a recording. Tell PSLM how much you already know, from newcomer to academic, and every explanation is written for that level. No jargon, no gatekeeping. Just the background that turns a piece you do not know into one you understand and remember.
FIND WHERE TO LISTEN
PSLM does not play audio in the app. When a work catches your interest, it points you straight to Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and other official links, so you can go from reading about the music to hearing it in a single tap.
YOUR PERSONAL LIBRARY
Save the works and composers you love into collections and return to them whenever you like. A Lent program, a shelf of favorite motets, the pieces you want to hear again. Your library grows with your taste.
MADE FOR LISTENERS AND MUSICIANS ALIKE
PSLM is designed to be calm, refined, and quietly beautiful to use. It respects your attention, whether you have five minutes or a whole evening. Newcomers get a way in. Seasoned listeners, choristers, and church musicians get a well-organized guide to the sacred repertoire.
PSLM is made by Sonatique, dedicated to helping you discover and deepen your appreciation of classical music.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
PSLM now opens with a short introduction. Choose your language, tell PSLM how much you already know, and pick the tradition closest to you — Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, Orthodox, Jewish and more. Every explanation is then written for your level from the very first piece, and you can change any of it later in Settings. Today's Piece now opens with a clear summary of the work, plus small fixes throughout.
