FTC Team Scouting is a free scouting app for FIRST Tech Challenge teams. Coaches and scouts keep match, pit and pre-tournament notes in one shared team.
A coach creates an account, starts a team and shares a join code. Scouts join with that code and don't need an account. Everyone on the team sees the same reports. Coaches can manage members, promote scouts to coach and reset the join code.
Scout during the event:
- Match scouting with auto, teleop and endgame points
- Pit interviews with a robot rating and notes
- Pre-tournament notes, with team stats pulled from FIRST: OPR, average score without penalties, RP average and event rank
- Pull your event's match schedule from FIRST
- Rank alliance picks from your reports

Join with a QR code:
Coaches can show the team's join code as a QR code, and scouts scan it with the camera to join. Typing the code still works. Join codes are 12 characters and expire after 7 days. After 3 wrong codes, joining is locked for 24 hours, so codes can't be guessed.
Undo mistakes:
Coaches can open History in Settings to see every change to reports and team tiles: what changed, who made it and when. Restore a deleted report or team, undo an edit, or undo Delete All Team Tiles for every team at once.
Works offline:
Reports save on your device first, so you can keep scouting with weak or no internet. They upload to your team on their own when you're back online, and a small status chip shows how many are waiting. After the first sync, only changed reports are downloaded.
In 11 languages: English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Dutch, French, Hebrew, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Russian and Spanish (Latin America). Arabic and Hebrew use right-to-left layouts.
Works on iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later. No ads, no fee and nothing to buy. You can delete your account in the app.
Team stats and match schedules come from the FIRST Tech Challenge Events API. FTC Team Scouting is not affiliated with FIRST or FIRST Tech Challenge.

- Join a team by scanning a QR code. Coaches tap Show QR code in Settings. New join codes are 12 characters and expire after 7 days.

- Pull From FIRST fills in team stats (OPR, average score without penalties, RP average and event rank) from the official FIRST Tech Challenge Events API.
- The app is now in Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Dutch, French, Hebrew, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Russian and Spanish (Latin America). Arabic and Hebrew use right-to-left layouts.
- Faster sync: after the first sync, only changed reports are downloaded.
- The app can now tell you when a newer version is available.
- If too many scouts sign in on one network at once, the app now waits and asks you to try cellular data or wait a few minutes.
