I really wish there was some sort of trial for the lifetime version. It’s hard to get a full feel for everything without one. Otherwise the app seems niceEDIT: oh my gosh! My sincere apologies!!! I somehow missed this, I’m visually impaired and wonder if that had something to do with it? I need lots of contrast but either way, you’re a doll and I’m SO SORRY!! Can you please elaborate on “it’s yours to keep if it’s the app for you?!” Something about going against subscription? I can contact you directly if you don’t mind leaving an email and then I’ll update my review again so all this is taken out! I’m SO SORRY AGAIN!! THANK YOU!

Awesome 🙂 thank you!
For macOS or not?
kmm825
The app description says, “Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS. The “What’s New” says, “Stash now available for macOS.” So which is it? I’ve been running it on iOS for a few days, and it works great there. I just downloaded it for macOS, but iCloud sync isn’t working. Just stays in “Syncing” status for 20+ minutes so - only have less than 10 items to sync so there’s not a ton of data to sync.iCloud sync within this app is broken or there’s a bug. I’ve been trying to get iPhone/iOS version to sync with this “MacOS” version. I changed some settings and toggled some setting on and off and now I’ve lost all my saved items in Stash. Several hours later, it’s still “syncing”.UPDATE: The latest update as of this writing (3 April 2026) seems to have fixed some iCloud sync issues. The iOS sync was never an issue but it seems quicker and more responsive now. I redownloaded the macOS version. The iCloud sync functionality has been improved, but it still seems stuck, slow, lagging, or not working. The sync status shows “Synced” but items in a Stash still show as “Downloading from iCloud”. Does macOS to iOS iCloud only work for Stash Pro? It’s not clear, from what I’ve read, if that’s yes or no.

Hi Kmm825,, all fixed now. Thank you for your feedback!___Hi there. First off, thank you for saying the app works great on iOS. That really does mean a lot. You're right to be confused by the mixed messaging on macOS. Let me explain what happened. Stash was originally built as an iPhone and iPad app. But so many users kept asking if they could run it on their Mac that I decided to add macOS support through Catalyst. That means the iOS app can run natively on your Mac without me needing to build an entirely separate macOS app from scratch, which for a solo developer would be a massive undertaking. It's not perfect, and Apple's store listing can be a bit odd with how it labels Catalyst apps, but the intent was simple: people wanted it on their Mac, so I tried my best to make it happen. Now, the iCloud sync issue. This is a known bug that I've been working hard to fix. When you build sync through iCloud (which I chose specifically so I wouldn't need to charge a subscription for expensive server costs), there are differences between how it behaves in development versus production. In development, everything talks to Apple's sandbox environment, and sync works perfectly. But when the app goes live on the App Store, it switches to Apple's production iCloud servers, and that transition can introduce issues that are genuinely impossible to catch before release. It's one of the most common pain points for indie developers using CloudKit, and I completely understand how frustrating it is from your side. The fix is coming in the next update, which should be with Apple for review very shortly. Your data should still be safe in iCloud even if it's not displaying right now, and once the patch lands, it should pull everything back in.I hear you that losing your saved items after toggling settings is not acceptable, and I take full responsibility for that experience. But I'd really encourage you to reconsider the one star rating. This is a $10 one time purchase built by one person around a young family, and I've poured everything into making it genuinely useful. You said yourself the concept is good and it works great on iOS. A one star review can be really damaging for a small app like this, and I promise the sync fix is days away, not weeks. If you want to reach out through the in app support, I'm happy to help you personally with getting your data back. I read and reply to every message myself.

Yeah, the app needs some refinement, but I love the thinking behind Stash Anything. What sold me was simply “stashing” an entire Gemini conversation with a few taps or an IMDB link (in to a TV/Movies “stash” or “Watch Later” folder and then being able to move/use what I’ve stashed elsewhere (even in markdown). I’m still evaluating the use of other apps like Raindrop or even a clipboard manager because Stash could be a great place to triage all the stuff I “collect” during the day on any device. So far so good (but I have a lot of “stash testing” still to do.)
Fantastic to use

Absolutely frictionless to add to any workflow. The app itself is intuitive and just makes sense. Will definitely be looking forward to having random junk saved in my notes and camera roll I can never find. After one day of use I saw the value and went with the pro version. Incredible and simple little app. Thank you
The big stuff:
• iCloud sync rebuilt. New direct upload path recovers from stuck exports, schema mismatches fixed in Production, and the iPhone, Mac and iPad triangle actually stays in sync now.
• One-tap save shortcuts. Save Image, Latest Screenshot, Note or URL straight from the Action Button, Back Tap, Siri or any shortcut chain. No share sheet, no app switch.
• Bulk import up to 50 photos at once. Pick screenshots from your library and optionally delete them from Photos after they're safely in Stash.
• Shared stashes actually work. Items shared in land in the right stash, not Unstashed. A one-time healing pass fixes any prior misplaced items.
• Photos-style pinch to zoom. Focal-point zoom, rubber-band on over-zoom, inertial pan, double-tap into a region. Works the way it should.
• Real thumbnails on Mac. Synced images from iPhone now show actual thumbnails instead of placeholders, with on-demand CloudKit downloads.
• Title and note before you save. Rename the batch and add context in the photo importer without touching each item.
Quality of life:
• Shortcut onboarding cut from 7 steps to 3. Advanced bits moved to a separate Troubleshooting sheet. Defaults just work.
• Refreshed grid cards. Bigger image area, captions overlay the thumbnail with a stroked gradient so they're legible on any photo.
• On-demand image recovery in the grid. If the local file isn't ready, the grid pulls it from CloudKit instead of showing a placeholder.
• Better Stashy reward toasts for first photo import, first share, and other milestones.
• Smarter Ask Me picker. If a shortcut's stash got deleted, it prompts you to pick a new one instead of saving to the wrong place.
• Return key in the photo importer note field now dismisses the keyboard, with a Done button in the toolbar as backup.
• Share milestone prompts at 10, 25, 50, 100 and 250 saves. One-tap Share Stash with a friend, with Not now and Don't show again.
Performance and reliability:
• Sync notifications stop fighting the UI. No more state-during-view-update warnings or scroll jitter during sync.
• Home view stops redrawing on every sync tick. CloudSyncMonitor no longer re-publishes identical values.
• Save Image shortcut no longer crashes on duplicate-UUID edge cases. Same fix applied across all four save shortcuts.
• Shortcuts are noticeably faster. Image reads moved off the main actor, Photos authorization no longer re-resolved on every retry.
• Schema drift fault resolved. UserPreference diagnostic stops firing at launch.
Tiny but nice:
• Refreshed What's New card on the home screen. Tappable, dismissible until the next release.
• Subtle "Keep Stash open for snappier sync" tip explains why backgrounding beats quitting.
• Mac and iPad iCloud schema deployed to Production. TestFlight builds finally sync the same data as Debug.
• Shortcut checklist progress carries forward. Anyone past step 4 on the old 7-step guide is auto-marked complete on the new 3-step one.
Thanks for stashing.
