Feature Summary Push Notifications Users receive push alerts when a visit is ready to review, a friend sends a request, a followed shop posts an announcement, or a badge is earned. Per-type toggles and global on/off controls live in a dedicated settings screen. Tapping a notification deep-links directly into the relevant part of the app. Friends and Social Feed Users can make their profile public, pick a username, and connect with friends. The Social tab shows friend requests, friends list, and a "Find Friends" search. The Feed shows a live, paginated stream of what friends have been drinking and which nearby shops are posting announcements. Near Me Feed A second feed tab surfaces recent reviews and shop announcements from within 20 miles of the user's location, regardless of friendship status. Location permission is handled gracefully with a clear explanation and a direct link to Settings for users who deny it. Visit Sharing When logging a review, users can choose to share it with friends. The setting is visible and editable on the visit detail page after the fact. Friend Profile Pages Tapping any name or avatar opens a full user profile with stats and recent visits. Friend connections can be sent, cancelled, or removed directly from this page. Invite a Friend Users can invite friends by email from the Social tab. If the email matches an existing account, the app shows a "Send Friend Request" button instead.
