Hello! Vicky can now compress videos! With Smart Video Compression, you no longer have to simply keep or delete your videos. You can compress large videos with different quality options, keep the original, or move it to Trash. One more reason to go Plus! Depending on your iPhone’s performance and battery status, you can queue up to 5 videos for compression at a time. If you leave the app, you can follow progress from Dynamic Island and the Lock Screen. For the best results, I recommend keeping the app open while videos are being compressed. This update also includes these fixes: • Fixed an issue where cards could briefly disappear after tapping Undo. • Fixed the “New photos are loading” screen not displaying properly in some theme and appearance combinations. • Fixed a few issues related to camera roll scanning. Spring is finally here, and I’ve added new features, a visual refresh, and updates to make your cleanup experience even better. • New “Recents First” mode: Choose this mode to clean your gallery from newest to oldest. • New themes and icons: I gave the Basic, Dark, and Plus themes a small spring refresh, and added 2 new themes too. With the fresh and energetic Sorrel Fresh theme, plus the new Spritz theme that brings completely different colors in light and dark mode, the whole app is now more colorful! The icons were refreshed to match. • I dug deeper into the iCloud photo loading issue caused by the previous update and fixed it more thoroughly. In this update, I added fixes and new features to make your cleanup experience with Vicky even better. • iCloud Photos support: You can now include photos synced with iCloud in any mode you want inside your Swipe feed. I added a new button to the Filter Settings page. So yes, you can quickly free up space on both your iPhone and your iCloud. • Swipe screen and feed updates: Based on your feedback, I tightened up the "For You" mode a bit and stopped photos you swiped right on from showing up again too soon. • Native Liquid Glass support: I connected the app’s graphics to Apple’s own Liquid Glass framework. On iOS 26, Vicky will now run faster and smoother. And yes, iOS 18 support is still here. • New languages: Vicky can now speak 15 languages! Hello EU! Our European visa finally got approved, so Vicky is officially global now. In this update, I added French and Italian language support on top of Turkish, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I also made some Swipe screen UI updates, fixes based on your feedback, and a few small improvements. • Zoom: You can now zoom in on photos and screenshots on the Swipe screen. I added this feature based on your feedback. Your comments matter, so please keep them coming. • I added a subtle blur to the top filter bar and the action buttons at the bottom to improve readability, so you can see the details in your photos much more clearly. If you want to see the whole photo, just tap it to switch to full-screen view, and you can keep swiping from there too. • Full-screen photo view: Tapping a photo to view it in full screen could sometimes lag. Hello! I decided to postpone the big new features for a while and focus on perfecting Vicky’s core experience. In this release, based on your feedback, I made small but effective fixes and a couple of tiny updates: Swipe screen updates: • I added a button so you can switch modes directly from the Swipe screen when you run out of photos or videos in the selected mode. If a single button takes this much space in the release notes, it is clearly important. Please do not give the app a low rating because “no photos show up” just because you forgot to change the filters :( • I made tiny smoothness improvements that are barely visible but you will definitely feel while swiping cards. New Cleaning Receipt: I completely redesigned the screen that appears after emptying the trash. Now your cleaning stats show up in a cute receipt format, and you can share those receipts to show off the vibe of the space you freed on your iPhone. If you share, do not forget to tag us! Hello! With small bug fixes, changes, and a tiny announcement, I’m putting a period on this update waterfall for now and leaving you in peace. Unless there is a hiccup or an urgent bug that needs fixing, I will not ship a new update until I fully integrate the new feature that I am sure you will love, which will probably be mid‑April. In April, new seasonal themes and an "unmatched" feature are coming, consider this your early spoiler. Anyway, now we can move on to fixes and updates: New icons: As you can see, our icon is now "Citrus", because I adapted the 1.4.0 seasonal themes to the icons as well. If you want to change it, the classic icon is waiting for you in its usual place. I simplified the icons a bit and made them fit the new themes. Also the Dark app icon is now available to Basic users, it looks great with the black theme. Swipe screen fixes: The full‑screen view from the previous update broke the mute button in videos, I fixed it, now the mute button works as it should. I also resolved the issue where videos would not play in Low Power mode. Data collection updates: To make the app better and to handle possible technical issues remotely, we will now collect very limited user data. This includes app‑operation data such as used screens, features, most‑preferred themes, and crash or freeze data. All data related to your photo library still stays entirely on the device, is never uploaded to any external server, and cannot be accessed by anyone outside your device. Hello! In this release I made improvements to the interface, performance, and design. Updates on the Swipe screen: • I added the Share (paper plane) button: Now you can share the rare pieces Vicky serves up from your gallery in your story, or send them to friends with one tap. • Full photo view: You asked, we did it. When you tap a photo or video on the Swipe screen, the bottom buttons, top bar, and card visual effects disappear so you can see the full content. You can keep swiping like this too; tap the photo again to bring back the buttons and filters. Practical and handy. Design updates: • Seasonal themes are here! I added two new metallic‑look themes inspired by the colors of the most popular computer lately. The metallic and energetic Citrus and the metallic and premium Blush (Plus‑exclusive) themes will be with us for a while. • I also made general readability improvements in the Basic, Black, and Plus themes. Performance/usability improvements and other fixes: • I further improved Low Power mode; now it’s even more efficient, and if Low Power mode is active on your device, the app automatically switches to Low Power mode too. • I also added a bit more variety to Vicky’s speech bubbles on the home screen. Hello! In this release, I made some minor fixes and performance improvements. • After the onboarding screen, the first cards could be playing hard to get; I fixed that bug. You can now recommend the app to your friends with peace of mind! • I updated the energy indicator on the Swipe screen for Plus members to better reflect unlimited energy. • I sped up the ad flow for Basic members and optimized it so it won’t negatively affect the swipe experience. • I made small visual improvements on the theme screen. Hi! I accidentally deleted the entire app, so I rebuilt the whole thing from scratch using the files I was able to save… But on the bright side, I added some genuinely nice improvements along the way: -Visual updates: The Basic theme is more vibrant now, the black theme is actually black, and the Plus theme looks a little less vibe-coded. -New Swipe screen: Content is much more front and center now, and the interface feels a lot more familiar. I’m still not 100% sure if making the content this front and center was a great idea, but the interface looks really good. -Low Power Mode:  Even though the new Swipe screen looks simpler, it’s made of multiple layers, and combined with a packed photo library it could make devices heat up a bit. This mode uses a simpler Swipe screen and reduces power usage across the app. At first it was about as useful as TEMU’s “speed up my shipping” button, but now it can cut power consumption almost in half. -Modes: I added a new Filter Settings page so you can switch between different categories more easily. You can also add shortcuts from there to the top area of the Swipe screen. Other fixes: -I also completely rebuilt the Trash screen, but it doesn’t need a dramatic explanation. I just made it what it should’ve been from the start. It’s trash. There’s only so much lore a trash screen can have, but it turned out nice. -I fixed the issue where the same photo could show up again in mixed selections. Filters now shuffle things more intelligently. -I added Turkish, Spanish, and Portuguese language support. Technically it had been there from the beginning, but I forgot to tick a box in settings, so the app was showing up only in English. Rookie mistake energy. That’s it for now. I’m also working on a very nice concept for duplicate photos, and I’ll be adding that soon. Don’t forget to be nice to yourselves!
