Carbon: Minimalist To Do List

Simple Tasks and Lists Manager

Free

A calm, focused task manager built on three simple cards: Today, Next, and Someday. No clutter, no subscriptions — just what matters. Most task managers want you to organize everything. Carbon wants you to focus on what matters. Carbon gives you three cards: • Today — what matters right now • Next — important tasks for later • Someday — ideas and long-term goals That's it. No projects, no folders, no endless customization. Just three cards and the clarity to actually get things done. NATURAL LANGUAGE INPUT Type naturally and Carbon understands. "Call dentist tomorrow 2pm #health @Sarah" automatically extracts the date, time, tag, and delegate. No forms, no menus — just type. SIGNAL STATES Go beyond simple checkboxes. Mark tasks as pending, in progress, done, delegated, migrated, or follow-up. One tap to cycle through. Your tasks tell a story. SYNC EVERYWHERE Changes sync across iPhone, Mac, Windows, Linux, and web in seconds. Pick up exactly where you left off. FEATURES - 3 card types (Today, Next, Someday) - Task metadata (dates, times, tags, delegates, notes) - Natural language parsing - 5 signal states - Smart notifications - Swipe gestures and undo - Light / dark / system theme - 21 hand-crafted app icon variants - 15 accent color themes - Unlimited tasks per card - Unlimited archive history - Cloud sync across all devices - Voice capture — add tasks by speaking - Drag-and-drop task reordering - Home screen widgets with interactive controls - Tag filtering across all cards - Card progress dots - Pomodoro timer built-in - Insights and patterns into how you work NO SUBSCRIPTIONS Pro is a one-time purchase per device. Pay once, own it forever. No recurring charges, no annual renewals, no "you've been unsubscribed" emails. Built by an indie developer who believes productivity tools should help you do less organizing and more doing. Plan less. Do more. Cheers, Shawn

What's New in Carbon We've been busy. Like, "forgot to eat lunch" busy. - The app opens faster now. We parallelized a bunch of startup work so you can capture that thought before it escapes your brain. - Your keyboard actually behaves. Fixed a whole saga where the return key, the done button, and the checkmark were all having an identity crisis. They know their jobs now. - Task notes are editable. Because read-only notes were giving "diary with a padlock you lost the key to" energy. - Scrolling works again. Swipe gestures on task rows were stealing your scrolls. We had a talk with them. - QuickInput remembers your draft. Collapse the bar, get distracted, come back — your half-finished thought is still there waiting patiently. - Tap empty space to add a task. Those blank card rows were just sitting there doing nothing. Now they're doors. - Multi-card type picker in QuickInput. Pick which card gets the task without the runaround. - Tag editing actually works. Tags were playing musical chairs when you edited tasks. They sit still now. Bug fixes, performance gains, and one fewer error per session. Enjoy.
