During a mid-summer crash out over “lost fitness” I downloaded RunWeather to see the weather impact/how safe it would be to run at different times. It was immensely helpful to set reasonable expectations for each run and prepare properly. I’ve come out of summer a much stronger runner!I’ve also applied to my family life: using it to plan park time with the kids, help them prepare for soccer games, and other similar activities. Excellent app!
The best weather-based running app
Prettysureokay
I can’t say this app has materially changed the way I run (though it could if I was wise enough to heed its suggestions) but it absolutely justifies my bad mood when running in crummy weather and for that I love it a lot. It has been so interesting to see how the heat and humidity in my southern state impact daily running. I recommend this app!
A must-have for runners!
Touchappu
This app is polished and highly intuitive. It helps me make informed decisions about my running timing! The recent update about weather info on race day, race map, pace and fueling planning and weather impact on your race outcome are critical information points that justify the subscription price! Worth getting it to improve your outdoor running experience!
Metrics that actually mean something
Sprinkie17
Awesome app. The metrics actually provide fresh insight that you can’t get anywhere else, and it’s not just finding 5 different ways to give you the same data. I expected to download it and delete it after my first run but now I check it after every run!
Races are here, and your runs now show a pace with the weather and hills taken out.
• Races: find your race and see what race morning could bring long before the daily forecast reaches that far. As the day gets closer, the outlook becomes an hourly forecast. Exploring Races is free. Saving a race plan is part of Pro.
• Run detail and your recap show an adjusted pace beside your real one, so a hot, hilly effort reads for what it was.
• Your recap now finds season firsts, streaks, a heart-rate trend and the run from a year ago, and shares any of them as a card.
• Share a race, a PB or a big weather day as a full-screen story image.
• After a race, four quick questions tell us how our call held up.
• Share cards let you choose the map style, size and position, or leave the map out.
• Settings is one place again, and a fresh install follows your phone's light or dark theme.
• Set your long run day and the Plan tab builds the week around it.
Fixes
• Distances, paces and temperatures follow your chosen units everywhere, including the examples in onboarding and the paywall.
• Pro members no longer see an upgrade screen when saving a race.
• Time fields no longer show raw digits on Android.
• Recap wording is plainer, and badge details are easier to read.
