NEW IN 1.5.1 Better Timegrapher capture Oscillo now makes sure measurements use the correct microphone. It prefers the phone's built-in microphone, allows wired mics you can place next to the watch, and avoids Bluetooth audio routes where the microphone may be farther away or add noise reduction and automatic processing. Steadier readings in noisy rooms The Timegrapher display is more stable when the signal gets weak or the room gets loud, with clearer guidance if you need to disconnect Bluetooth audio or move closer to the watch. We also fixed an issue where the sync banner could stay visible while watch thumbnails were being generated, updated the timing engine, and made other reliability improvements.

NEW IN 1.5.0 Rate by position Now you can record the position each reading was taken in — dial up, crown down, and the rest. The watch detail breaks your rate down by position and adds a positional spread figure, so you can see how steady a movement stays as you turn it. You can also sort your measurement history by position. Thanks to Diego for suggesting it. We also made a few minor improvements across the app.

Quartz Watches Welcome You can now mark a watch as quartz. A quartz movement has no mechanical escapement for the Timegrapher to read, so Oscillo keeps your quartz watches in the collection but leaves them out of the Timegrapher and precision tracking — no more empty readings on a battery-powered watch. Smarter Sync A new banner shows you exactly where things stand while your collection syncs, and Oscillo now uses far less data to keep everything up to date in the background. Smoother and More Reliable We fixed a sync error that could interrupt live updates, tidied the bars along the bottom of the screen, and eliminated a few rare crashes. NEW IN 1.4.1 Share Your Watch on the Web Make a watch publicly shareable from its settings and Oscillo gives it a link anyone can open — a clean web page with its photo, brand, model, reference number, and timing summary. Your account details are never shown, sharing is off by default, and switching it off takes the page down. Share Cards, Now With a Link Sharing from the watch detail still renders an instrument-log card — the latest reading, the average of all measurements, or the watch on its own — and the share sheet now includes the public link alongside the image whenever the watch is shareable. Watch Links Open in Oscillo Tap an oscillo.app watch link and it opens straight in the app: your own watches go to their detail screen, and watches shared by other collectors open as their public timing summary. Oscillo Speaks Romanian The whole app is now available in Romanian. Clearer Microphone Guidance If microphone access is switched off, the Timegrapher now says so plainly and takes you straight to iOS Settings to allow it. Open it from the watch collection menu, or enable a weekly notification in Settings to be reminded on the day and time of your choice. A New Profile Tab The Stats tab is now Profile. It opens with an identity strip — your avatar, display name, and the month you joined — and lays out your numbers as numbered editorial sections: Logbook, Activity, Collection, Wearing Habits, and Timing Performance. The screen reads like a personal ledger of your watch year. Steadier Timegrapher Start The timegrapher now has a dedicated "Collecting audio" phase during the first seconds of a recording, before there is enough sound to evaluate lock or noise. The timegrapher uses stricter result filtering, clearer signal-lock states, and a live quality meter so you can place the microphone with confidence and save readings you can trust. During recording, you’ll see exactly what is happening: listening, finding the beat, locked, weak signal, too noisy, or lock lost. Arrange Your Collection Put your watches in the order that makes sense to you. Choose Reorder from the collection menu, then drag cards in grid view or move rows in list view. Existing collections keep their newest-first order until you rearrange them. Send Feedback from Settings Share bug reports, feature requests, or general notes without leaving the app. The form can include an optional contact email and attaches app/device context so issues are easier to diagnose.
