I’ve been playing since November ish like when the game was fresh playing it through safari. I’ve really learned to love the game it’s my favorite ever. It’s come a long way! I’ve only ever been able to play as a Dm when I play DnD so I was thrilled to be able to finally be a player. The possibilities are endless. My favorite part is you don’t have to just play traditional DnD. Want to go into your favorite tv show? Boom now you can! Want to just see what an alternative version of you would look like as an exchange student! Boom now you can. From the magical to nonmagical everyday you can literally do everything and anything you put your mind to.

System is super flawed. Doesn’t track timelines correctly and will regularly copy something that has happened and act like it didn’t happen yet. All npcs know everything about your campaign so you can’t have any secrets in the game or figure anything out if there is an investigation because it doesn’t track sides of a story properly and all npcs will share or swap their stories. Deletes items from inventory. Cant keep npcs names/genders/descriptions right and will keep changing them. Regularly crashes or logs you out as typing so you’ll have to retype the whole round again. Healing doesn’t register properly. Npcs movements and inventories don’t work right ex. Cut off an npcs arm and took their weapon yet it kept saying they were attacking with that same weapon each round. Whole game is bugged to hell and not very fun to play if you want an immersive story cause you’ll just keep getting disappointed by all the mistakes. Keeps putting npcs that are nowhere near where my character is into the prompts and having them react to stuff or say stuff that they shouldn’t know. All in all, more broken than anything and I can’t even get through maybe one or two rounds without having to constantly go back and rewrite the party memories due to mess ups. Unplayable in its current state.

I just finished the demo. The idea is really great and I hope the devs keep working at this. It’s exactly what I’ve been hoping someone would do. Unfortunately, AI just isn’t at the point where it can handle something like this. In the short amount of time that I played (maybe 10-20 minutes), the AI gave me conflicting story points with no explanation of my goal. Then it gaslit me saying I was “just losing track of time” when I tried calling it out on an NPC just appearing in my location when my question was to find them in another place. The leveling up of skills is completely arbitrary, and all dice rolls skew toward success (since AI can’t do genuine RNG). I started with 0 persuasion, then randomly had +1 on my first persuasion roll, then +2 on the next. Out of the 10+ rolls I did, 100% of them were a success. The fact is, I think AI is never going to beat a human DM given some energy drinks and snacks.

Enemies keep popping up that are “enemies” that have to be dealt with to move the plot along. The issue is that when they are captured, no matter how “shackled” they are, no matter how “broken” their bodies, no matter how “disarmed” they are or how far behind I leave them , the narrator keeps making them attack me and chip at my health until they die. Then every NPC hates me because the enemy died. On that note we need ways to make NPC’s happy, because anything I do to move the plot along turns some NPC I’m working with to “vengeful” and whenever I make them trust me more is just a happy accident. And one more thing: I picked up vambraces and a helmet that are categorized as “chest.” How am I to fill out my character’s equipment when all of the armor can only be worn on my chest? Also, Boons don’t work at all after the first two. I click on them when I level up and the boons just don’t apply.
