### Recording - **Resume after crash** — continue recording from where you left off if the app is killed mid-session. Audio and transcriptions are concatenated automatically. - **Crash & interruption notifications** — get alerted when a recording is interrupted by a crash or another app capturing the mic. Tap to return and resume. - **Short recording gate** — recordings under 2 seconds prompt to upload or discard, preventing accidental taps. - **Inline retry** — failed or partial recordings show an upload button directly in the Recents list with clearer status labels. - **Better battery life** — screen locks during recording, ~4x fewer CPU wakeups, throttled visualizer and transcript polling. - **Fixed crash on stop** — resolved a race condition in audio file teardown. - **Fixed uploads stuck on lock screen** — background handler now waits for server save before suspending. - **Fixed false error indicators** — recordings that processed successfully no longer show warning states. ### Live Activity (new) - **Lock screen & Dynamic Island presence** — active recordings now appear as a Live Activity, so you can see status without unlocking or opening the app. The Town mark, a record/pause status icon, the "Recording" / "Paused" label, and the elapsed duration are visible at a glance. - **Live transcript line** — when the speech transcriber is on, the last sentence of your transcript streams onto the lock screen card and the expanded Dynamic Island in near-real time. - **Pause, Stop, and Delete from the lock screen** — recording controls are wired directly into the Live Activity via interactive intents, so you can manage a recording without unlocking or bringing the app to the foreground. Taps on stale cards safely dismiss themselves. - **Compact & minimal Dynamic Island states** — the compact pill shows the Town mark with a red/gray status badge plus a duration readout; the minimal slot shows a single red/gray dot so you can tell at a glance whether a recording is live or paused while another activity occupies the island. - **Tap to return** — tapping the Live Activity deep-links back into the in-progress recording screen. - **Self-updating timer** — the duration label advances locally every second instead of being pushed from the app, and transcript updates are throttled and coalesced, so the card stays alive for the full recording without burning battery or getting throttled off by ActivityKit. - **Adaptive Town mark** — the brand asterisk is rendered as a template image that tints correctly on light and dark Live Activity chrome. - **Cleaner lifecycle** — stale Live Activities from a previous app launch are reconciled on startup, rapid stop/start no longer races into duplicate cards, and audio failures (`AVAudioRecorder` encode errors, unsuccessful finish) now end the Live Activity so you never see a "recording" card after capture has actually stopped. ### Approvals - **Rich approval cards** — specialized views for Slack messages, emails, calendar events, and contact requests, grouped by session. - **Dismiss button** and **batch actions** (Allow all / Decline all) on approval cards. - **Fixed calendar event times** — approval cards now display correct timezone-aware times. ### Auth & Connectivity - **Fewer unnecessary sign-outs** — transient network errors retry with backoff instead of kicking you to the login screen. - **Offline indicator** — shows when you're disconnected, disables server-dependent actions. - **Smarter token refresh** — expiry-aware caching replaces blind polling, reducing battery and network overhead. ### Stability - Migrated recordings auth to unified stack. - Fixed stale retry counters across sign-out/sign-in cycles. - Added per-build version tracking in analytics.
