WHEN THE APP COULDN'T OPEN A few people have seen a screen saying Prayer Mentions couldn't open its files. Your list was always still on your phone — the app just couldn't reach it, and nothing on that screen could get you back in. Now it can. If the file it can't read is the one holding your reminder times, your schedule and your message wording, the app offers to set that file aside and start those fresh. Your people, your requests and your meditations are untouched, and the old file is kept rather than deleted. It tells you what it's about to do before it does it. Restoring from a backup on that screen works now, too. It didn't before. DONATIONS If a donation couldn't be confirmed — a timeout, a dropped connection — the app used to call it a failure. It couldn't actually tell, and saying so was worse than saying nothing. It now says plainly that it isn't sure and points you to your receipt. If you try again after that, the second attempt can't become a second charge. EVERYTHING ELSE Nothing about who comes up each day, how reminders are scheduled, or how meditations work has changed.

NEW & IMPROVED PRAYER SCHEDULING You told us the same people kept coming up while others waited a long time for their turn. Scheduling has been reworked, with two new ways to choose who comes up. Monthly Coverage spreads your whole list evenly across the month so everyone comes up once. Daily Rotation gives everyone a turn in a fixed order, however many people a day you pick. Your current schedule hasn't changed. Switch whenever you're ready, under Settings → People Schedule. REVISIT PAST MEDITATIONS Two new behaviors bring back something you've already written, one a day, so a growing history stops being an archive nobody returns to. Revisit In Order works through everything before anything repeats; Revisit At Random picks one. Writing a new meditation still takes over for that day. MEDITATIONS INCLUDED WITH THE APP Seventy-five meditations now come with the app, under Included on the Meditations tab. They sit alongside the ones you write and can show on Today, in the widget, and in your reminders. One switch under Settings → Meditation turns the collection off. A MEDITATIONS TAB Everything you've written now has its own tab, with Personal and Included sections, filters, and multi-select for archiving and deleting. People and Requests gained the same multi-select. SIRI, SHORTCUTS, SPOTLIGHT, AND CONTROL CENTER Eight Siri phrases: ask what your meditation is, set a new one, hear who is on today's list, or add a person or a request without opening the app. All of them work in Shortcuts too. Names on your list are now searchable from Spotlight, and a control that opens your list can go in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, or on the Action button. DOCUMENTATION, IN THE APP Seven topics covering how a day gets built, how reminders work, what happens to your data, and what to do when something looks wrong — including the story of why the app refuses to score your prayer life. ACCESSIBILITY A full VoiceOver and Voice Control pass, Reduce Motion support, Dynamic Type at the accessibility sizes, and a rebuilt color palette that now meets contrast requirements in both light and dark.

This is a big update focused on Meditation Behavior, iCloud reliability, and giving you more control over how your prayer data is syncronized. MEDITATION BEHAVIOR SETTING New option in Settings: choose whether your meditation resets each day (encouraging you to write something fresh) or stays as your "current" meditation until you replace it. Both modes work correctly with the widget and notifications. DAILY AUTOMATIC BACKUPS Prayer Mentions now saves a complete backup of your data every day — your people, prayer requests, meditation history, and settings. Backups are stored in iCloud Drive so they're protected even if something goes wrong with your device. You can also tap "Back Up Now" at any time, and restore from any previous backup right inside the app (Feedback & Support → Auto Snapshots). ICLOUD SYNC CONTROLS You can now choose which categories of data sync across your devices. Turn iCloud sync on or off independently for People & Prayer Requests, Meditations, and Settings — useful if you want certain things to stay on one device only. PEOPLE & PRAYER REQUEST DATA TOOLS Export and import your people list and prayer requests as JSON files — useful for backups or moving data between accounts. New diagnostics views show counts, frequency breakdowns, and flag anything that might affect your prayer schedule. REORGANIZED FEEDBACK & SUPPORT The Feedback & Support section has been cleaned up and reorganized. There's also a new one-tap "Email Diagnostic Report" that assembles everything useful for troubleshooting and pre-addresses it to support.

Bug fixes for the Random People Daily schedule type

More Reliable Notifications Notifications are now scheduled up to 3 days in advance, so you'll continue receiving prayer reminders even if you don't open the app every day. Notifications also now correctly respect your frequency settings — weekly requests only notify on your chosen days, and monthly requests only notify on the correct date. Meditation Reminders - Configure the number of daily meditation reminders right from Settings. Prayer Request Archiving - Archive prayer requests you've completed or want to set aside, with the ability to unarchive and restore them at any time. - Archive directly from the prayer list or from the request detail view. Person Search - Quickly find people by name when adding a prayer request. Always-Editable Prayer Notes - Prayer notes can now be edited directly without tapping the Edit button first.
