Hear a Qur'an recitation and want to know what it is? Hold up your phone. RecitID names the surah and ayah, often within seconds, then tells you who is reciting. Think of it as Shazam for the Qur'an.
RecitID is a Quran identifier and a complete Qur'an companion: identify recitations and reciters, follow a khutbah live in your language, read the full Mushaf and scan Arabic text.
IDENTIFY THE AYAH AND THE RECITER
Tap Detect near any recitation: in the masjid, at Taraweeh, or from a video or the radio. The result opens as soon as the verse is found:
• Surah and ayah, with the Arabic and translation
• Tafsir al-Jalalayn for the identified ayah
• The reciter, from 300+ recognised voices
Turn on Auto Detect to keep identifying each verse as the recitation continues, even while you use other apps.
KEEP LISTENING IN THE SAME VOICE
Tap Listen from here and the surah carries on from the ayah you heard, in the reciter's voice, with the translation. If a reciter hasn't recorded that surah, RecitID tells you and plays Mishary Rashid Alafasy instead.
130+ RECITERS, EACH WITH A PROFILE
Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Abdul Basit, Yasser Al-Dosari, Maher Al-Muaiqly, Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Saud Al-Shuraim, Saad Al-Ghamdi and many more, each with a photo, a short sourced biography and a voice sample. Search by name or nationality and pick your reciter. Rare narrations (Warsh, Qalun, Al-Bazzi, Khalaf) are clearly labelled.
LIVE KHUTBAH TRANSLATION
Follow a sermon or lecture as it happens, in 50+ languages. Arabic appears in about a second and the translation follows sentence by sentence. Qur'an verses are recognised with their surah and ayah.
Pause, resume or stop from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Sessions are saved by month, with optional sync across your devices.
LISTEN BACK TO ANY SESSION
Have a saved khutbah read aloud, in your translation language or in the original Arabic. Qur'an verses in it are played in a real reciter's voice, never a computer voice.
