DLB Career Toolkit
Cal Poly Pomona job search
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
DLB Career Toolkit is the companion app to the Cal Poly Pomona Dean's Leadership Board (DLB) EngX Seminar Series career-prep program. It distills the program's printed handouts into interactive, progress-tracking checklists you can use offline at your own pace — and now tracks every application you pursue, from first research to final decision.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• Resume Checklist — every step of writing a quality engineering résumé, from contact info through formatting and final review
• Interview Prep Checklist — what to research, what to bring, how to dress, and how to answer behavioral and technical questions
• Follow-Up Checklist — closing the deal after your interview, thank-you etiquette, and salary discussion prep
• What's Next Checklist — accepting an offer, what happens between offer and start date, and setting yourself up for day one
• Elevator Pitch Guide — a fill-in-the-blank template for your 30-second introduction
OPPORTUNITY TRACKER
• One checklist per application — internship or full-time — that walks each opportunity stage by stage: research and qualify, tailor your materials, apply, recruiter screen, interviews, follow-up and waiting, offer and negotiation, decision and close-out
• Every stage links to the right prep checklist, Elevator Pitch section, or journal prompt at the moment it matters
• Key dates with reminders — application deadlines, screens, interview rounds, follow-ups, and offer response dates, with reminders from a week ahead to the moment itself
• A private journal for each opportunity: your notes and lessons learned, plus an automatic history of what you set and decided
• Record how each one ended — accepted, declined, withdrawn, or not selected — then archive it and keep the record
• Share any opportunity as a PDF, with or without its journal, to review with a mentor or advisor
KEY FEATURES
• Persistent progress tracking across all four checklists and every opportunity
• Sort completed items to the bottom to focus on what's left
• All five DLB source documents bundled and viewable in-app
• Works fully offline — no account, no cloud sync
• Reminders are local notifications — no server involved
• No ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics, no telemetry
• iPhone and iPad support with light and dark mode
