Meetings now keep recording when you switch apps or lock your phone. Before, a meeting could stop if Rapture was cleaning up a note at the same time. Note clean-ups and summaries now wait until the meeting ends. The "Type instead" and "Record meeting" buttons also line up with the tab bar.

Meeting mode is here. Tap Record meeting, or say "Hey Siri, Rapture this meeting." Rapture records for up to 3 hours. It keeps going when you leave the app or lock your phone, and a pause never ends it. When the meeting ends, you get the full transcript, with the time of each paragraph. Rapture tells the speakers apart and labels each paragraph. Tap a name to rename a speaker, or to merge two that are the same person. Tap Summarize for an overview, the decisions, and the to-dos with who will do them. The to-dos appear in the Tasks tab. It all runs on your iPhone, with no internet connection. With delivery turned on, the transcript goes to your Mac, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, and Notion. When you make the summary, it goes to all your destinations, and it replaces the transcript copy, so each meeting stays one file. To end a meeting by voice, hold the side button and say "End the Rapture meeting." iOS does not listen for "Hey Siri" while an app records. Also new: a quick capture now always stops when you stop talking (for long talks, use Record meeting). Slack to-dos read cleanly, and Discord posts each note once.

Long recordings now come out as full notes. Rapture formats a long capture in sections and joins them, instead of pushing the whole thing through one pass. A ten-minute recording that used to shrink to a few lines now keeps most of what you said, with the to-dos intact. Max length goes up to 30 minutes, and the default is now 10. While a long note formats, the Record screen shows a progress bar. If you leave the app before it finishes, nothing is lost: the note is formatted and delivered the next time you open Rapture. Wait for silence goes up to 30 seconds, so a long hands-free ramble can pause without ending the recording. The status line says "Transcribing…" while Rapture works, and the timer stays accurate on long recordings. Faster starts: the speech model is now ready in under a second after the first launch, instead of 30 seconds every time. Sharing a link to Rapture sends it to your destinations right away, from the share card. And a crash that could hit a Siri capture on some phones is fixed. The Record screen now appears all at once when the app opens, and it has a proper layout when you turn your phone sideways.

Auto-stop on silence now works the way the setting describes. With it on, recordings you start from the Record screen end themselves when you stop talking. With it off, they run until you tap stop. Siri and Shortcut captures always stop on their own, so hands-free capture behaves the same either way. The default silence window moved from 3 to 4 seconds. That leaves a little more room to pause mid-thought without cutting the recording short. Also: on iOS 26, Rapture's speech and formatting models now arrive with the App Store install. New installs open straight into recording instead of waiting on a 1.4 GB download. On earlier iOS versions that download still happens once on first launch, but it no longer restarts when your screen locks. Rapture keeps the display awake until it finishes, so you can set the phone down and walk away. Longer recordings also produce cleaner notes. Occasionally a long capture would pick up a stray to-do or detail that was never said — those no longer make it into your notes.

Rapture has a new look. Every screen was redesigned: • Record: a calmer home screen with a daily greeting and one big button • History: your notes as cards, with filters, delivery status, and task counts at a glance • Note view: a new audio player, cleaner formatted notes, and chips that show where each note landed • Tasks: open to-dos grouped by note, with a progress bar • Settings: reorganized around capture and delivery, with guided setup for every destination • Plus a restyled Siri capture card, refreshed onboarding, and dark mode polish throughout How Rapture works hasn't changed: capture stays hands-free, and everything still happens on your iPhone.
