NightSnore - Snore Recorder
Snoring Detector, Sleep Report
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases
NightSnore is now free to download. Unlimited monitoring and full nightly reports cost nothing. One unlock adds unlimited history, trends, playback and export.
Do you snore? Or has someone told you that you do? Most people don’t realize how often it happens - or how much it affects their sleep.
NightSnore helps you find out, effortlessly. Just place your iPhone near your bed, tap Start, and go to sleep. It quietly listens, detects snoring automatically, and gives you a clear report in the morning.
You’ll see when you snored, how long it lasted, and how your sleep changes over time - all in simple charts that are easy to understand. You can review past nights, track trends, and even export your data if you want to look deeper or share it.
Sleep better by finally understanding your night. No wearable. No subscription. No account. Everything stays on your device. Your recordings, your data - completely private.
Free and Full Version:
NightSnore is free to download. Monitoring is unlimited, and every night you get the complete report - snore score, count, duration, percentage and the full-night chart - at no cost.
A one-time unlock adds:
- Unlimited history (the free version keeps the last 3 nights)
- Multi-night trends
- Snore episode playback
- Full-screen analysis with heart rate, blood oxygen and sleep stages on one timeline
- PDF and CSV export
One payment, yours forever, no subscription. Nights beyond the last 3 are never deleted - they stay on your iPhone and come back the moment you unlock.
NightSnore is for informational purposes only and not a medical diagnosis tool. Consult a professional if needed.
more - Improved: you can now leave a rating with stars alone — writing a comment is optional.
- Fixed: when feedback could not be sent, the app now says so clearly and resends it automatically once you are back online (it was previously shown as sent).
3.0.4 2d ago
- Fixed: overnight monitoring could be cut short partway through the night, leaving you with only half a recording in the morning.
- Fixed: locking the screen right after tapping Start could show an audio error and fail to begin monitoring.
3.0.3 Aug 16
- Improved: internal refinements and stability.
3.0.2 Aug 14
- Fixed: some users who bought NightSnore recently did not automatically receive the full version after updating. This update corrects that on its own - nothing for you to do.
- Fixed: the unlock screen showed nothing but a disabled button when the App Store could not be reached. It now explains why and offers a retry.
3.0.1 Aug 13
- NightSnore is now free to download. Unlimited monitoring and the complete nightly report - snore score, count, duration and the full-night chart - are free.
- New one-time unlock for the full version: unlimited history, multi-night trends, snore playback, full-screen analysis and PDF/CSV export.
- The free version keeps the last 3 nights. Earlier nights are never deleted - they stay on your iPhone and come back the moment you unlock.
- Already bought NightSnore? The full version is yours permanently and unlocks automatically. Nothing to do.
3.0.0 Aug 9
- Fixed: if the app was ended by the system or swiped away while monitoring, the night could be saved with a duration far shorter than you actually monitored, throwing off the Snore Index, snore percentage and other statistics.
- Improved: session duration is now recorded continuously through the night, so even an unexpected interruption still leaves you with a realistic length and accurate statistics.
2.4.1 Aug 2
- New: a Sleep Summary now appears the moment you stop monitoring - Snore Score, snore count and duration, and the whole night's snoring pattern on a single screen. No more digging through History to find last night's session.
- New: the summary compares your score with the average of your last 7 sessions, so you can tell right away whether the night was better or worse.
- New: jump straight from the summary to the full report for detailed charts and snore playback.
- Improved: don't need it? You can turn the summary off in Settings.
2.4.0 Jul 31
- Improved: redesigned Live Activity and Dynamic Island - now showing the app icon and a continuously running session timer, so you can confirm at a glance that monitoring is active.
- Fixed: the snore count and duration shown in the Live Activity could freeze and stop updating once the screen was locked. Live statistics now live inside the app, so the Lock Screen never shows stale numbers.
2.3.3 Jul 26
- Fixed: non-English text (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic) could appear garbled when opening the CSV report in some apps (e.g. Excel on Windows).
- Improved: missing values in the CSV report now display consistently with the PDF report.
2.3.2 Jul 14
- New: CSV reports fully upgraded — now with end time, Snore Score, plus heart rate and blood oxygen summaries and detailed sample timelines (when available in Apple Health), matching the PDF report.
- Fixed: CSV columns could shift when certain sound category names contained commas.
- Improved: exports no longer show a Snore Index for sessions under 30 minutes (too short to be meaningful), consistent with the app.
2.3.1 Jul 8
- New: Nightly Snore Score (0–100) — combining snore ratio, frequency and intensity into one number that tells you at a glance how quiet your night was. Past nights get scored automatically.
- New: "Score" metric in Trends, so you can track how your nights change over time.
- New: PDF reports now include your Snore Score plus heart rate and blood oxygen curves (when available in Apple Health) — more useful to bring to your doctor.
- New: Siri & Shortcuts support — just say "Start monitoring with NightSnore". Works with Automations too, e.g. start automatically when you plug in at bedtime.
- New: Control Center button to start monitoring with one tap.
2.3.0 Jul 4
- Fixed: snore count and duration now update in real time on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island while monitoring — previously they could stay frozen.
- Improved Live Activity reliability so your on-screen stats stay in sync throughout the night.
2.2.2 Jun 27
Behind-the-scenes stability improvements.
2.2.1 Jun 25
- New: Tap the full-screen button on any night's chart to open a landscape view built for reviewing the whole night at a glance.
- New: See your heart rate and blood oxygen alongside your snoring on one shared timeline (when that data is available from Apple Health), so you can see how they line up.
- New: Snoring, heart rate, blood oxygen, and sleep stages appear as neatly stacked lanes — drag the time marker to read every value at any moment of the night.
- New: A quick highlight automatically points out your snoring peak and your lowest blood oxygen for the night.
- Improved: The app now stays in portrait everywhere except the full-screen chart, which rotates to landscape for a wider, clearer view.
2.2.0 Jun 21
- New: Interruption alerts notify you right away if monitoring stops unexpectedly during the night, so you never lose a whole night's recording without knowing.
- New: An optional morning report after a longer session gives you a quick summary of your snoring overnight — tap to jump straight to the details.
- Improved: Turn each notification type on or off independently in Settings.
2.1.3 Jun 16
Refreshed the monitoring home screen with a cleaner, more balanced layout and a handy setup tip to help you position your phone for the best results.
2.1.2 Jun 10
Added native support for German, French, and Arabic
2.1.1 Jun 6
• All-night detection now stays active. Rebuilt the audio analysis engine so it runs entirely on-device without relying on a system process that iOS would suspend. Detection no longer stops when your screen locks.
• Detects a wider range of breathing sounds. Snorts, wheezes, gasps, and heavy breathing are now included alongside snoring, giving a more complete picture of nighttime breathing disturbances.
• Recording always uses your phone's built-in microphone. Connecting a Bluetooth headset no longer reroutes recording to the headset mic — the phone's own microphone is always used, ensuring consistent capture quality.
• Smarter noise threshold. The detection sensitivity now adapts dynamically to your room's background level, reducing false positives in louder environments.
• Improved export reports. CSV and PDF exports now show sound classification, confidence score, and snore peak per event instead of empty placeholder columns, making individual events easier to review.
• Episode numbering in exports. Exported events now include an Episode–Event number that matches the in-app history view for easy cross-reference.
• Cleaner "Other Sounds" tab. Very short or quiet background sounds are filtered out, and sounds overlapping with snoring episodes no longer appear as duplicate entries
2.0.6 May 30

1.3.1 May 1
New
- Redesigned snore playback with a waveform-backed mini player. Drag the waveform to scrub, jump between snore events, and change playback speed.

Improved
- Brighter, more saturated colors for sleep stages and event markers in the report chart.
- Sharper waveform contrast so snore peaks stand out against background noise.
- Clearer gold highlight for the current 10-minute window on the timeline.
1.3.0 Apr 27
Fixed battery level display — battery percentage and charging status now update in real time. The low battery warning clears immediately when you plug in.
1.2.11 Apr 13
* Refined ambient noise visualization to improve accuracy and consistency in sleep analysis
* Recalibrated noise level classifications to better align with real-world sleep environments (Very Quiet / Quiet / Moderate / Noisy / Very Noisy)
* Introduced a dedicated blue indicator for “Very Quiet” to enhance visual distinction from “Quiet” (green)
* Updated the “Ambient Noise” metric to reflect the full-night average, eliminating bias from transient wake-up noise
* Ensured continuous rendering of the noise baseline graph, even in the absence of detected snoring events
1.2.10 Apr 8

· Improved: touching the chart no longer interferes with normal page scrolling when the chart hasn't reached the top
1.2.8 Mar 27
- Improved: you can now leave a rating with stars alone — writing a comment is optional.
- Fixed: when feedback could not be sent, the app now says so clearly and resends it automatically once you are back online (it was previously shown as sent).
