A redesigned top of the app. • A cleaner glass toolbar with search and the menu in one place. • A larger home title with a chevron that switches homes, rooms, room groups and collections from one menu. • On a phone, swipe in from the left edge to go back: a room returns to its home, and the home view steps through your homes. • Room groups and collections open in place on a phone instead of in a side menu. • Pull down to refresh; pull further for a full reload. • Smoother scrolling and a status bar that follows the wallpaper. • Developer Mode gains a preview of a fully native iOS header — try it under Settings → Account.

Homecast now finds your Mac on the network by itself. Choose Community and pick your relay from a list — no address to type — and if your Mac changes network, the app follows it. You can also reach a relay from anywhere by entering its address, including over HTTPS through a VPN or a tunnel. Fixes connections from iPhone, iPad and other devices on your network, which could load but not save changes. Also fixes authentication locking you out of your own relay, Community mode getting stuck on a loading screen, and the local portal address in Settings showing the device you were reading it on rather than the relay.

Relay reliability • The app now notices when its own page or its link to Apple Home has stopped answering, and reloads itself — instead of sitting connected but doing nothing until you restart it. • One unresponsive accessory can no longer hold up a whole request. Automations • Virtual accessories: switches, modes, counters, timers, numbers, text and dates your automations can set and read back, so they can remember things between runs. • Notifications carry the icon of the automation that sent them. Community mode • MQTT publishes device state as documented, including accessories that don't belong to a room. Fixes • Pressing Enter now finishes editing a text field. • The top of the page is no longer clipped in a short window.
