– Reading fonts (Premium): four fonts made for long reading, three classic book serifs and a clean sans. Pick one in the text panel, right next to text size – Headings, diagrams, and exported PDFs use your font too; code stays monospace

Version 1.3.0 This update makes MDViewer much better for reading documents in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese: - Japanese, Korean, and Chinese text now displays correctly — no more missing-character boxes in body text and headings. - Opens files saved in older text encodings (such as Shift-JIS and EUC-KR) that previously wouldn't open. - Read Aloud now speaks with a voice that matches the document's language. - Documents now render fully offline — no internet connection required. - Sharper heading fonts and more reliable math and code display. Thanks for all the feedback — please keep it coming!

NEW: HTML Preview You can now open HTML files, including pages generated by AI tools. Files render exactly as designed, with their own styles, scripts, and interactivity. - Open HTML files from your reading folder, the file picker, or straight from the Files app - Links inside a page open in your browser, so the file you are viewing stays put - Cleaner file names for exported PDFs Plus small fixes and polish throughout.

New: Read Aloud — listen to any document with natural voices, hands-free. Choose Read Aloud from the menu, pick the speed and voice, and the page scrolls along as it reads. Plus a cleaner toolbar.

Pick up right where you left off. When you reopen a file you've been reading, tap "Jump to where you left off" to return to your last spot.

Performance: fixed lag when adjusting font size on large documents.

In this version Highlighting — Mark up what matters. You can now highlight text using Markdown's ==double equals== syntax: wrap any word or phrase in ==, and it renders with a soft highlighter background. The highlight color is tuned for every theme, light and dark, and works right alongside bold, italics, and links. This is free. Premium unchanged: 4 extra themes, custom font size, PDF export. Still $1.99, one-time, forever. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

In this version Your reading folder — Pick a folder once and MD Preview opens to it every launch. Your markdown files appear in a tappable list on the home screen, sorted newest first. Pull down to refresh after you add new files. Works with local folders and iCloud Drive. Use the menu (•••) to change or forget the folder anytime. Recents and Pinned still work alongside. This is free. Premium unchanged: 4 extra themes, custom font size, PDF export. Still $1.99, one-time, forever. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

In this version Scrollable Table of Contents — When a document's outline is long, the Contents panel now scrolls inside itself instead of pushing the page out of view. Tap any heading to jump there, same as before. Still $1.99, one-time, forever. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Math rendering — fixed an edge case where LaTeX inside code blocks got mis-converted. Premium upgrade screen — refreshed the layout and copy. Still $1.99, one-time, forever. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

In this version Math rendering — LaTeX math now renders properly throughout the app. Inline equations, display blocks (sums, integrals, matrices), aligned systems, Greek letters, fractions, and the standard LaTeX environments all work. Technical responses with math finally look right. Free for everyone. Premium tier unchanged: 4 extra themes, custom font size, PDF export. Still $1.99, one-time, forever. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Fixed: toolbar buttons now follow your selected theme even when your phone is set to the opposite system appearance.

In this version Table of Contents — Every document now shows a collapsible table of contents above the text. Tap any heading to jump to that section. Perfect for long LLM outputs and documentation. Pin Recent Files — Tap the menu on any recent file to pin it. Pinned files stay at the top of your list and never get pushed off, no matter how many new files you open. Both additions are free. Premium unchanged: 4 extra themes, custom font size, PDF export. Still $1.99, one-time, forever. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
