Your bag learns to remember. - Every restring you log now reads back as a ledger: what was in the frame, how long it lasted, and how it felt at the end. Strung at 53 and dead by day 21. At 51 it was dialed. That kind of thing. - Logging a restring asks one question about the old bed: dead, board, or dialed. One tap, no keyboard, and ignoring it is a fine answer. - A play built on courtcanvas.com now opens right on your board, and a playbook backup someone texts you opens by tapping it. - Underneath, a long pass of fixes. Playback ends cleanly when you stop it. A long export can be cancelled. On iPad, a pinch that gets interrupted no longer leaves the board ignoring your drags.

Fixes, mostly from playing with it on court. - Tapping empty space to dismiss a card no longer lights up whatever button was hiding under the blur. - A playbook restored from iCloud now survives your first stroke. Setting up a new device and drawing one line could overwrite what had just come back. - Tapping a play you have swiped open no longer opens it by accident. - Delete the last padel play and you stay on a padel court. - An interrupted press no longer swallows the next tap on Undo.

Court themes. Seven full looks for the board and everything around it — clay scorebook, blueprint, arcade, riso zine and more. Club Scorebook is the new default: clay court, paper chrome, navy ink. Pick yours in Profile. Using every theme is a Pro feature; everyone gets the new default and Classic. The board reads like a broadcast diagram now. Shots keep their taper and lose the clutter: open arrowheads, no stray dots or rings, cones and targets drawn flat. Playback follows one ball, and the ending settles with a single bloom where the last shot lands. New: - Hold for pace. Draw a shot and rest your finger at the landing point: one, two or three cut marks behind the arrowhead set the pace, and the ball travels faster in playback and in shared clips. - On iPad the tools sit at the screen edges and the Playbook opens beside the court, so you can browse plays with the board in view. - The Share card names its formats plainly: Image, Animation, Video, Voice-over, Live link. Fixed: - The corner buttons answer everywhere, including their corners. - Scrubbing ticks once per step, not twice. - Redo covers deletes: remove a shot mid-play, push Undo toward the court, and it comes back where it was. Same as always: no account needed, and your plays stay yours.

Two quality-of-life ones this time: - Reshape a curve by its arc: a selected curved shot now has a third grip at the bend. Drag it to make a lob taller or a slice tighter; the ends stay pinned. - Shares arrive named after the play. The GIF or video you send lands as "Wide Serve + Close.gif" instead of a random string, so it's easy to find again.

Fixes a bug where dragging a player drew a line instead of moving them. Drags always move the player now — a quick flick off a player still draws the serve, and a tap still selects.

Two big ones this time: your voice on your plays, and plays you can send as a link. - Record a voice-over: tap record and the play starts moving. Talk it through in your own words while it animates; recording stops when the play does. Sharing the narrated clip is a Pro feature. - Share a play as a link: it opens in the receiver's browser and animates right there. Nothing to install on their end. Also new: - Drill props: cones, target zones, and a feed basket. Press and hold the draw button and they fan out with your shot tools. - Share a play as a video as well as a GIF. It plays smoother, and it works on the platforms GIFs don't. - Your playbook backs up to iCloud automatically, so your plays survive a new phone or a reinstall. Still no account. - Two-finger pan while zoomed in. - Your profile and settings live in one place now. - The intro demo has a Skip button. On newer iPhones the toolbar uses the new glass look, dark mode is properly dark, and there's a cleaner app icon. Plus fixes: stamps and labels no longer disappear at the end of playback, and resuming after you scrub or step through a play works the way it should. Same as always: no account needed, and your plays stay yours.

The main thing in this update is what happens when you share a play. A shared GIF now opens on a title card with the play's name, then animates. While it runs, a ball travels along each shot, so it reads like a point instead of a still diagram. A few more things landed too: - If you're on Pro, you can put your own name or academy on the plays you share, in place of the Court Canvas mark. - You can write short cues on the court now, like "split step" or "recover middle," right where they happen. - Playback pauses and scrubs. Stop anywhere, drag the timeline, or step through a shot at a time while you explain it. - Shots can curve. Bend your drag and the arrow follows. - Larger font sizes are supported properly now, and the first run is clearer. Same as always: no account, no cloud, your plays stay on your phone.

Court Canvas is now built around tennis coaches first. A hand-vetted starter library is organized by the job each play does on court — serve + first ball, return patterns, approach + volley, and doubles patterns — so you can clone a real coaching pattern and tweak it for your student. New hybrid home: open the app and resume the play you were just working on, or one tap to your full playbook with the starter plays right there. Behind the scenes: privacy-first usage analytics so we can keep making the app sharper based on what's actually used. No personal data collected. Plays still never leave your device.

A real first-launch experience. New users now see a brief welcome card, then a narrated demo play that animates while captions explain what's happening. By the time they land on the empty canvas, they know how the app works. Skip is one tap if you'd rather just start drawing. Sharing a GIF is now free, every shared GIF carries the Court Canvas mark + an App Store QR so the next coach can find the app with their phone camera. Pro removes the mark for clean coaching exports. Templates renamed to Play packs to better describe what they are: pre-built starter sequences you can clone and edit. Polish: tighter type scale across the chrome, redesigned player tokens with depth, smoother tool-switch animation.
