THE PROBLEM
Today's kids' streaming platforms are built on the same systems designed for adults: never-ending feeds, loud thumbnails, and content optimized to keep eyes glued to the screen. For children aged 2 to 6, this creates a fundamental mismatch between what the technology is designed to do and what parents and developmental experts actually want.
The result is a generation of children who have never experienced screen time with a natural ending, and parents who fight for the off switch every single day.
It wasn't always like this. Before streaming, screens had schedules. Shows had endings. Kids had afternoons. The stopping point was built in, and nobody had to engineer it. Meevee is built like that.

Instead of endless feeds and autoplay, Meevee offers carefully curated sessions of preschool content. Visual cues help children understand where they are in a session, so the ending never comes as a surprise. And when it's time, Mookee guides children gently off-screen through a calm, story-driven transition that makes stopping feel natural, not like a punishment.
PARENT-FIRST CONTROLS
Setup takes minutes. Just tell Mookee your child's age, what they love, and how long you want the session to last. Mookee handles the rest, serving age-appropriate content in a playful, focused environment. Parents and children each get their own side of the app: one to manage, one to explore.
No complex menus. No algorithmic rabbit holes. No ads. Just a session you've shaped, running exactly as you intended.
WHAT MAKES MEEVEE DIFFERENT

This isn't a new idea. It's an old one. TV programs had schedules, shows had endings, and when the credits rolled kids went outside. Streaming removed that entirely. Meevee puts it back.

Our content is calm, curated, and validated against child development research through our partnership with Tilburg University. Not as a badge. Because it makes the product better.
THE TEAM
Meevee is built by a small team based in Amsterdam and Toronto, with backgrounds across tech, design, kids' media and developmental science. We started Meevee because we couldn't find an app we actually felt good handing to our kids. We suspect a lot of parents feel the same way.
