New • Select several boxes and the Properties panel now shows a Style section: fill, border, text and card header colours, border width, text size, body text size and bold, applied to all of them at once. • Mac: Cmd-click adds a box or connector to the selection, the same as Shift-click. Fixes • Moving several boxes together now shows the alignment guides and snaps the group as one. • Card body text: the bullet button bullets every selected line (press again to remove), and wrapped bullet lines line up under the text, not under the bullet. • Card body text: blank lines keep their height on the canvas. • The zoom percentage in the toolbar now updates as you zoom. • Mac: dragging a box right after clicking it no longer stalls while the Properties panel loads.

Fixes • Mac: typing in the Label and Body Text fields of the Properties panel is fluid again, also on Intel Macs. The text appears at once and the chart follows a moment later. • A hex value pasted into the colour panel now applies right away, without pressing Return.

Fixes • SVG export: text that wraps inside a box now wraps in the SVG as well, instead of running out of the box. Boxes with shadows now show up in Inkscape and other editors. • PDF and PNG export: filled arrowheads come out the same size and in the same place as on the canvas. • Mac: opening a project from the Finder no longer opens an extra window behind the first, so Export shows its save window only once. • Delete, Copy and Duplicate in the canvas menu now act on every selected box. On the Mac the forward-delete key deletes too. • Mac: body text typed in Dark Mode no longer turns invisible on light cards. Projects saved that way display correctly again. • Zoom In and Zoom Out keep the middle of the view in place, so the chart stays on screen.

Four new templates • How the Aurora Works: from solar flare to northern lights, with NASA photos, wavelength cards and every line style in one chart. • Customer Onboarding, Incident Response and Team Offsite: swimlanes with a container title, icons on connectors, and line jumps where lines cross. Fixes • SVG export: boxes with gradients and patterns now keep their own colours instead of all taking the first box's.

Use Any AI works with Google's AI • The copied prompt is now about a quarter of the length, so it fits search-style chat boxes that cut long prompts off. • Positions are written in a form chat sites leave alone. If an answer still arrives with positions or sizes missing, the app lays the chart out itself, top to bottom along its connections, with default sizes. • Swimlanes from Any AI: the prompt teaches the AI how lanes work, and the app stretches a lane container to hold any box the AI left half outside.

Use Any AI • AI diagrams with no key and no subscription. In the AI Assistant, click Any AI, copy the prompt, paste it into any chat AI (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, free versions included), then paste the answer back and click Build Flowchart. The chart builds on the canvas step by step, with undo. • Include the current chart and the AI modifies what is already on the canvas. Fixes • A chart whose connections arrive without port positions now builds (ports default top to bottom) instead of being refused.

Swimlanes • Connections between nodes inside a lane now draw on top of the lane. A container always sits behind the connections, on the canvas and in PDF, PNG and SVG export. • Container title: give a swimlane a title in a band across the top, above the lanes. Connectors • Icons on connectors: add an SF Symbol to a connection's label. • Line jumps: a small hop where one line crosses another. Turn on in the Properties panel or set the default in Settings. Fixes • SVG export now honours Behind Connections.

If you use your own Anthropic key, Claude Opus now uses Opus 5.5 and Claude Haiku uses Haiku 5.5, Anthropic's newest models. Haiku 5.5 costs much less to run than Haiku 4.5. The model you picked before carries over. Claude Sonnet and Hosted AI work as before.

Hosted AI now shows its subscription terms beside the Subscribe button in Settings > AI: the monthly price, how renewal and cancellation work, and links to the Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

Swimlanes: resizing a container by an edge or a corner no longer moves the shapes inside it. Before, every resize slid the contents by half the size change, which could push them out of the container; now they stay exactly where they were.

Freeze Reports: Send to Dependent Media now opens Mail the standard way, and afterwards says whether Mail sent the report, saved it as a draft, or could not send it. Without a Mail account it opens the share sheet instead, so you can send it another way.

Number boxes in the properties panel, including a lane's size, width, height and position, now apply what you type when you press Return or tap out of the box, instead of after every digit. Typing 120 into a lane's size no longer shrinks the lane to its minimum on the way, so nothing inside it is disturbed, and each change is a single step you can undo.

Swimlanes: moving a lane up or down now carries the lane's contents with it. Adding a lane no longer nudges the existing lanes; the new lane is exactly the amount the container grows. The last lane has a divider: drag the container's trailing edge to resize it, like any other lane. Closing a chart now takes its layers with it, and a new chart saves only its own undo history, so a chart started after closing a large one no longer carries the old chart's layers, history or images in its file. Undo still brings a closed chart back. On iPad, tapping into the Label field in the properties panel selects the label, so what you type replaces it.

Connection labels now stay on top of the drawing in documents with layers. With two or more layers, labels on vertical lines could appear upside down on iPad; they read correctly again, in every layer. The properties panel no longer rebuilds itself every time a setting changes, so opening and closing its sections is lighter. Freeze Reports has a new Send to Dependent Media button that opens a message with the report already filled in. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it.

Freeze reports now say where a freeze happened, not only how long it lasted. Each report records which part of the properties panel was being built and how hard, the shape of the document (counts and sizes only, never its content), and the app's own place in the stack even when the system's frameworks fill the top of it. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to send a report. Large documents respond faster while pins are repositioned, pasted, or opened: the app no longer re-indexes every node for each individual change. Opening or closing a section of the properties panel no longer rewrites your settings when nothing has changed.

Layers now hold everything you put on them. Images added to a layered drawing, whether imported, pasted, dragged in or chosen from Photos, join the layer you are working on, so hiding that layer hides them too. Previously they belonged to no layer and stayed on screen when every layer was turned off. Paste now lands on the layer you are working on, so you can copy from one layer and paste onto another. Pins join the layer of the image or node they mark, and splitting a line keeps both halves and the junction on the line's layer. Drawings saved by earlier versions are repaired when opened: anything that had ended up on no layer is placed on the bottom layer, where it can be hidden, or moved with Move Selection to another layer. On iPad, Paste uses what you just copied in the app rather than an older picture left on the clipboard by another app.

Pause on the capture bar, so a phone call no longer ends the recording. One generate path that carries both the edited transcript and your marks. Opening a document no longer decodes its undo history first, and a new setting limits how much of that history is written at all. Linked images are located once rather than on every redraw, and never on the thread that draws the screen. Documents with many linked files open and scroll without stalling. The capture controls move into the Record panel while it is open, and the transcript stays visible while you sketch. Choosing a border colour for a node now gives that node a border, including text nodes, which previously stayed borderless no matter which colour you picked. An icon placed inside a node now exports where you placed it. Exports previously drew it back in its original spot. On Mac, a node's icon and its label exported in the wrong order, so the label sat above the icon. Mac and iPad exports now match.

A new node type you draw in by hand. Add a Draw node, then draw in it with Apple Pencil or a finger; double-tap to reopen it and keep going. The ink is stored as strokes rather than a picture, so it scales with the node and exports as real vectors to PDF, PNG and SVG. Drawing works. The sketch pad used to slide under the pencil and the stroke you were drawing would vanish. It is no longer a panel that can be dragged, so a line stays where you draw it. This affected the Sketch tool in the recording bar as well. The live transcript sits beside the canvas while you sketch, and keeps up as you draw. Previously the pad covered the whole screen and the words were out of sight until you closed it. A long recording keeps its whole live transcript. Speech recognition restarts about every 45 seconds, and the words from the window being retired were being dropped, so the live text appeared to start over. Each window is now kept as it is retired. The finished transcript, made when you stop, was always complete. The toolbars that float over the work area are readable on any canvas colour. They took their appearance from the system light or dark setting while sitting on a canvas colour you choose, so on the default dark canvas they were grey on near-black. They now read the canvas itself. The recording bar's clock runs. It stopped at 0:00 for the whole of a recording while the Record panel counted up beside it. The bar also announces itself when it appears, stays on screen through transcription so Build diagram stays reachable, and its captured-items button is no longer the faintest control on it. Discarding a recording asks first, and says that the audio and the transcript both go.

Fixes a crash: scrolling the properties panel quickly could quit the app. The controls that caused it have been rebuilt. Vertical text alignment for node labels: Top, Middle or Bottom, per node, per shape, or as an app default. Heading and body move together, and the canvas, PDF, PNG and SVG all place them identically. On the Mac the colour panel has a real eyedropper of its own: one click samples any pixel on screen, including another app, without opening Apple's colour window. Apple's colour picker can now live inside the colour panel on a tab of its own, so its eyedropper is one tap away without leaving the panel. Settings can hand colour editing to Apple's picker entirely; saved presets stay reachable either way. Recordings can be deleted. Each recording has a delete button, and a recording can be removed from a single diagram without deleting the file. A note whose recording is gone no longer plays a different recording. Colours taken with the system picker are recorded exactly as picked. On a wide-gamut screen a vivid colour could be stored wrongly and come back as a different colour, and the panel's sliders could keep showing the previous one. The panel also reopens by itself when Apple's picker closes, carrying the colour you just took. Alignment now reaches every renderer. Icon labels and card body text ignored Left and Right in PDF and PNG, and on the Mac a node with body text exported its heading below its body. "Pick from screen" works when the app is running in a window beside another app; it previously opened Apple's picker in a window you could not see. Text alignment works on Start/End, Process, I/O, Branch and Join, in export as well as on screen. Settings says plainly which controls set up NEW documents and which restyle the chart you have open. Check for Updates forces a fresh answer from the App Store, and says plainly when the store cannot be reached. Connection labels sit exactly on their line on curved connectors, and exported curves match the screen.

Connection labels can now turn to follow their line: each label lies along its connection, centred on it, kept upright, and turns when the line does. Off by default; switch it on for the whole chart in Global Connection Style, or per connection under Label Direction. Fixed the freeze on large documents: selecting a node in a chart with hundreds of nodes could stall for seconds because the minimap re-measured the whole document for every box it drew; it now measures once. Also: the canvas draws only the visible part of very long card, text, and note bodies; swimlane containers obey grid snapping; connection handles sit clear of the resize handles on selected nodes; the colour panel's System Picker opens Apple's picker directly; Check Now in Settings answers clearly.

Swimlanes: drag a lane divider to resize a lane; the container grows to fit. Deleting a lane with items in it now asks whether they go or stay, and later lanes close up correctly. In-app colour panel with HSB, RGB, swatches, and named presets you can save. Project themes: re-skin every node type and the canvas in one step, with built-in Classic, Slate, Paper, and High Contrast, or save your own. Smart mode: hover a node to reveal connection handles, click one and click the destination to connect. Help > Check for Updates. Meeting capture: review your marks, and place them all on the canvas without AI. Welcome screen: Open a Project. Fixes: Duplicate now keeps emoji, corner radius, rotation, shadows, and icon position. SVG export arrowheads match PDF and PNG. Freeze reports include the app's own stack capture.

Freeze reports now capture much more detail, including the system's own record of what happened, and the app can tell you when a newer version is available (Help > Check for Updates on Mac, or Settings elsewhere).
