The Santa AI was designed from the ground up with family safety as the #1 priority. Every feature, every conversation, and every interaction is built to keep your family's experience safe and happy.
PARENTAL CONTROLS
- Parent Lock: Profile settings are protected behind Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Kids cannot change their profile or access parent settings on their own.
- Violation Review Dashboard: If anything is ever flagged, parents get a clear list of what happened. Chat pauses automatically until a parent reviews and acknowledges the flag.
- Parental Consent: A clear consent step is required before any personal profile information is collected.
CONTENT SAFETY — ZERO TOLERANCE
We take content safety extremely seriously. The Santa AI uses a multi-layered moderation system that checks every single message — both the user's words AND Santa's responses:
1. Keyword Filter: An instant, always-on filter blocks 70+ inappropriate terms across English and Spanish — including leetspeak and character substitution tricks.
2. AI Moderation: Every message is also checked by an advanced AI moderation system that catches context-based inappropriate content.
3. Output Safety: Santa's responses are moderated too. If anything slips through, it is automatically replaced with a safe, friendly message.
4. Automatic Chat Pause: If a violation is detected, chat is paused immediately. Parents are notified and must review the flagged content before chat can resume.
All flagged content is logged for parental review with full details — what was said, when, and why it was flagged.
DAILY TIME LIMITS
- Free: 1.5 minutes per day — enough to say hi and share a wish!
- Premium: 18 minutes per day for longer, deeper conversations.
When time is up, Santa says a warm goodbye and chat pauses until the next day. No surprise charges, no unlimited screen time.
