EatbyLe - Oslo Food Guide
Oslo's Curated Food Guide
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Oslo has plenty of places to eat. EatbyLe helps you find the ones actually worth it.
EatbyLe is not a review app. It's an editorial food guide — every place is personally curated, evaluated for quality, atmosphere, and character. No paid placements. No algorithm-driven rankings. Just places that genuinely deliver.
Explore Oslo's restaurants, cafés, wine bars, and cocktail bars through map or list view. Filter by neighborhood, vibe, or open now — and see real-time status and distance right in the app. Finding a great spot shouldn't require research.
As a member, you get access to exclusive discounts, stamp cards, and weekly boosts at selected venues. Your digital membership card lives in Apple Wallet, ready to scan with QR next time you're out. Loyalty has its perks.
EatbyLe also curates events and private dining experiences — with RSVP and guest management right in the app. It's not just an everyday guide, but a gateway to Oslo's food culture at its absolute best.
Neighborhood guides give you editorial context: what makes an area worth exploring, and which places define it. Your taste profile ensures recommendations get more precise the more you use the app, and monthly recaps keep you updated on what you've discovered.
Organize your favorite places into custom collections. Build your personal version of Oslo — and take it with you.
EatbyLe is for those who don't settle for second best. Download and experience the difference.

more Discover Oslo by sunlight. The new Sun Mode on the map shows you exactly which terraces catch the light and when, so you always know where to sit outside.
The Home screen has been rebuilt around a cinematic Le's Pick, with a cleaner read on what's open now, tonight, and tomorrow.
Benefits has a fresh look. Your loyalty cards, nearby offers, and what you've saved this month are all easier to reach.
Collections now separates Saved, Visited, and Lists, so your places stay organized the way you keep them.
Get a heads-up when you walk past a deal at a place you've saved, and never miss a Member Event again.
Faster, sharper, and quieter throughout.

This update is about company.
There is an invite with your name on it now. You will find it in Membership: your friend gets 50% off their first month of Pro, and when they join, you get a month on us.
Onboarding learned to finish what it starts. Say yes to notifications and it asks about location right after, so nearby deals work from your first walk.
The big titles were recut, and the small lines beneath them learned to stand up straight.
Thank you for bringing your people.
— Mr. Le
2.1.12 Jul 6
This update is about refinement.
Place pages read cleaner, and the home screen now speaks the same visual language as every listing — so moving through Oslo feels like one continuous story.
Save a spot with a deal and EatbyLe quietly reminds you when it's nearby, so a perk never goes unused.
Small details, sharpened throughout.
2.1.11 Jul 2
Le's Pick now plays in full motion — film of the dish, the room, the fire, right on your home screen.
Your membership card comes alive: living serpent engraving, a foil sweep that catches the light as you tilt.
Letterpress stamp cards — embossed, tactile, legible on every theme.
Plus a sharper Benefits screen, smoother headers, and a faster start.
— Mr. Le
2.1.10 Jun 28
A long season of work, mostly about feel.
We rebuilt the place pages around the image. We taught the membership card to move. We made redeeming a deal a small moment rather than a screen.
The map learned to read the light. Benefits, collections, onboarding and the paywall are all calmer than they were.
Nothing here changes what the app does. It changes how it feels to use it.
Thank you for being here from the start.
— Mr. Le
2.1.9 Jun 25
Your stamp cards, redrawn. Each card now carries a single pressed seal — the venue's own monogram, stamped one at a time as you earn it. The same language runs through your Benefits list, so every card reads as one.
A membership card worth keeping. Tilt your phone and the light moves across it. Every theme renders it differently, so the card you carry is yours alone.
Cleaner places, calmer pages. Place pages have been rebuilt to be shared, the Benefits cards sit straight again, and onboarding is lighter on the way in.
Quieter, faster, and more considered throughout.
— Mr. Le
2.1.8 Jun 16
A redesigned Discover.
The map now opens into a single, scrollable sheet — swipe up to browse, pull down to explore. Search lives at the top, always within reach. Typographic pins name each place at a glance, and a refined filter sheet shows live counts as you narrow your search.
Quieter, faster, and more considered throughout.
— Mr. Le
2.1.7 Jun 9
A new membership card this week. It flips. The QR code lives on the back, and each tier is finished in its own material. Guest details for events now come with a gentle reminder so nothing is forgotten at the door.
— Mr. Le
2.1.6 Jun 7
A few things have changed this season.
The Home screen opens on a new hero carousel. Swipe through what is worth your evening, with the day's edit sliding up underneath.
When the sun is out, Home now tells you which terraces are catching it. Weather and orientation, read for you, so you sit in the right seat.
Discover is a cleaner map. Find a place, tap it, see it, go.
Events are easier to join. Request a seat, get your confirmation, and carry your entry pass with you on the night.
Plus fixes and polish across the app, so everything sits where it should.
Curated by Mr. Le.
2.1.4 Jun 5
A few things put right this week.
The Home screen, rebuilt. Sun mode, corrected. Your event RSVP now shows clearly when you are attending.

2.1.2 May 29
Quietly, a great deal has changed.
The stamp card now carries each venue's monogram. The Oslo selection has been audited end to end. Widgets have been reset in our own typography. Sign in with Apple to begin — the first 14 days of Pro are our gift.
— Mr. Le
2.1.1 May 28
A season of refinements.
The Benefits tab has been rebuilt around a single editorial pick for what is near you, with a paged carousel of member offers above it. Redemption is now one quiet sheet, from ready to active to redeemed, with nothing in the way.
Discover is a full map you can read. Find a place, tap it, see it.
When the sun is out, the Home screen tells you which terraces are catching it. Weather and orientation, considered on your behalf.
The Membership screen has been reorganized so your momentum, savings, and taste profile sit where they belong.
Plus the usual round of fixes and polish.

2.1.0 May 21
A quieter, sharper EatbyLe.
Benefits — The For-You feed now opens with what's near, what's open, and what's one stamp from a reward. A new chip filter sorts the rail by what's walkable right now.
Membership — A redesigned tab that reads like a notebook. Spend, savings, visits, and the places shaping your taste.
Taste Profile — A standalone read on repeat versus explore, with month-over-month movement across your top areas.
Redemption — Stamps, boosts, and rewards now run through a single calmer flow.
Cards & type — Every surface refit in the new Stone Gallery system. Fraunces for the names. Inter for everything else.
Widget — A cleaner Morning Pick, sized to the place.
— Mr. Le
2.0.5 May 14
Sun planning lives on the map. Drag the time slider to see which terraces catch the light at lunch, apéro, or sunset — Oslo only, May through September.
The Home feed got cleaner. One hero, tighter rhythm, fewer competing fonts. Less to read, more to choose from.
Widgets handle long place names properly now. Responsive Fraunces, balanced columns, no more truncated names on the lock screen.
Fixes: opening times now respect your local timezone when you're looking at a place in another city. Onboarding and the widget no longer leak places from cities you're not in. WeatherKit usage is back to normal after a quiet stretch.
New this month: Black Tie Summer Edition event live in the Membership tab.
2.0.4 May 12
A quieter, sharper EatbyLe.
• New widgets for your home screen. A small and medium card with the nearest open pick, written in the editorial voice you'd expect on the printed page.
• Six new places joined the Oslo index, including Jønk, Justisen, Bar Boman, and Mad Drop Coffee.
• Editorial pass on dozens of existing places. Sharper taglines, cleaner copy, neighbourhoods spelled correctly.
• The Taste Profile card now lines up the way it should.
• Fixes for the gallery, the admin tools, and a few quiet things you won't notice until they're gone.
2.0.1 May 6
A quieter update, but a real one.
The widget is finally worth keeping on your home screen. Medium and large now show what's open near you, today's pick, and live progress on your stamps — not just a tap-to-open shortcut.
The Home hero now reads the weather. Sunny afternoon? You'll see somewhere with a terrace that catches sun this hour. Rainy Tuesday? Something warmer.
Discover got sharper too. Filters like "Open now" and "Open late" actually behave themselves. Categories respect your selected city. The map pins are getting their own visual language — one icon per kind of place, no clutter.
Plus the small things: cleaner Benefits screen, fixed taste profile, and a few rough edges sanded down across redemption flows.
