Hopworld Pocket Edition

machine generated dystopia

$3.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Collect power ups and mini maps to find your way through the procedurally generated worlds of Hop. Isolated and lonely, you explore a seemingly abandoned and confusing world. The world feels like a mathematical contraption with you as its only experimental test subject. As you endure its morbid fluctuations, you discover ancient sources guiding you to freedom. Hopworld is a 2D platformer which can procedurally generate many different map layouts for endless gameplay. Development started during the pandemic. I wanted to find a way to create a game world which would feel fresh and surprise myself each time I would have to go in to test new features or find bugs. Everyone is always playing a different version of the game. Read the devlogs on https://supernapie.com/blog/ to find out more.
