Every family has readers at different levels — from toddlers being read to, to teens tackling novels. CordialReading brings them all together with reading challenges that reward effort, not just speed.
How It Works
Parents create reading challenges with point goals and real-world rewards. Children find books by searching or scanning a barcode, read at their own pace, and submit completions for parent approval. Points are
awarded based on book length and difficulty relative to each child's reading level — so a child stretching to read something harder earns more.
Effort-Based Scoring
Not all books are created equal. A 300-page novel above your child's reading level earns significantly more than a quick, easy read. This encourages kids to challenge themselves while still earning credit for
every book they finish.
The Whole Family
Pre-readers earn points just for participating — reading together builds a lifelong habit. Older kids and even adults can join in. Set family-wide goals or individual targets. Toggle sibling standings on or off depending on what motivates your crew.
Parent-Friendly
Approve book completions with a tap. See what everyone is reading from a single dashboard. Award bonus points for written summaries. Define your own rewards — a trip to the bookstore, extra screen time, whatever works for your family.
