We've refined how you add days in the Planner to make logging your travel faster and more accurate: -Add Days now defaults intelligently. When you're viewing the current month, it opens on today, so your country defaults to where you were yesterday, just as you'd expect. When you're browsing any other month, it defaults to the 1st of that month, ready for you to log days there. -A snappier Planner. We've optimised how the Planner calculates your day data, so opening the menu and the add/select sheet feels noticeably quicker.

This is a big one. Faster, more accurate, and packed with new ways to see your travel and residency at a glance. Bug Fixes - Fixed the day drift bug; no more days moving based on timezone. - Fixed where flights could appear on the wrong calendar day (or stretch across two days). - Fixed landing dates occasionally reverting to a previous value after editing and reopening a flight. - Made the edit screen's date pickers resolve timezones the same way as the rest of the app, so the day you pick always matches the day shown after saving. - Every day is now locked to the correct date for good. It's worth a quick look through your records, and if anything looks off, just open the day and save it again. Flights - Redesigned flight cards with a boarding-pass-style date stub, making the date the clear visual anchor of every flight. - Added smart relative dates (Today, Tomorrow, In 3 days, Last week) so you can read your schedule at a glance. - Added floating month headers when scrolling your flight history, making it easier to navigate years of travel. - Added a collapsible stats panel: tap the Stats header to hide it and jump straight to your past flights. Your choice is remembered between launches. Hotels - Cleaner hotel bookings list with a clearer check-in date and a more polished empty state when you haven't added any stays yet. - New boarding-pass-style date stub on every stay, matching the redesigned Flights tab so you can scan check-in dates instantly. - Past stays are now grouped under pinned month and year headers, just like Flights, so it's far easier to scan back through where you've stayed. - A much richer stats panel: total spend and average per night, a UK vs overseas nights split, your longest and average stay, plus leaderboards for your top hotel chains and cities. - Collapsible stats here too, so you can hide the panel and get to your past stays faster. - Adding a hotel is now guided just like flights, with dates and essentials first and the optional details tucked behind a single tap. Country Breakdown (new) - See every country you've spent time in, ranked by number of days, in its own dedicated screen in the More tab. - Filter by any tax year to instantly see your actual and planned days per country, with a running total for the year. - Free for everyone. Planner - Tap the month title to jump back to any past date, or skip straight to your last unlogged day, so you always know where to pick up. Imports - Importing a spreadsheet is now much smarter. Days that already match are skipped instead of rewritten, so if just one day differs, only that day is updated. - Imports are reliable and repeatable; importing the same file again won't shift or duplicate anything. - Review exactly which days differ before anything is overwritten, with the old and new country shown side by side, and keep or accept each change. Home Screen Widgets - The Flights and Hotels widgets have been redesigned in the boarding-pass style to match the app, so your next trip looks great right on your home screen. Across the App - More consistent, friendlier empty states on Flights, Hotels, Limits and Evidence. - A more refined confirmation when logging a day. - A huge welcome to all our new users. Shared Hotel Stays: Your hotel bookings now sync with your spouse and connections, just like flights, so everyone sees the same picture of where you've stayed. Add Hotels From Day Log: You can now add hotel stays directly from the day log sheet, just like flights. No need to jump to a different screen to record where you stayed. Smarter Flight Matching: We've broadened how flights are matched between you and your connections, so airline code variations (like BA vs BAW) no longer stop the same flight from linking up. Per Entry Visa Limits: A new Per Entry period type sits alongside Calendar Year, UK Tax Year, and Rolling Window. Set a day limit per visit; the count starts when you arrive and resets when you leave. Thanks for using Midnight Rule.

Calendar Integration: You can now connect your device calendars to Midnight Rule and see your events alongside your day logs. Head to Settings > Calendar to choose which calendars to display. When you tap any day in the Planner, your calendar events for that day will appear right in the day log detail view, giving you a complete picture of where you were and what you were doing. Calendar integration is available to Pro subscribers and works entirely on-device meaning your calendar data is never uploaded or stored.
