Pill Bee 2.5.3 puts session control in each tech's hands, fixes counting crashes reported from the floor, and clears a panel that could block the tray mid-count. YOUR SESSION Settings now opens with a Your Session section at the top, and how long you stay signed in is yours to set. • Auto Sign-Out After: pick your own idle window, anywhere from 1 minute to 4 hours. Every account used to share a fixed 5 minutes. • Stay Signed In For: tap your avatar in the bottom bar to hold your session for the duration of your shift ("I work until...") or for a fixed stretch. The same control lives in Settings as For Today Only. • A pass covers today only. It never carries into tomorrow, and signing out ends it. • While a pass is live you skip your PIN even after other techs sign in and out, and a banner across the bottom of the panel shows who is counting and until when, so nobody counts under the wrong account. • Admin passcodes and the history gate are never bypassed. • As always, the timer never fires mid-count. It waits until you are idle. COUNTING FIXES • Fixed the crashes seen during counting, caused by the camera and the app reading pill coordinates at the same moment. Also fixed a follow-on issue where a count could hold steady after pills were taken off the tray. • The Count Not Certified panel could stay up over the live camera with no way to dismiss it, covering the tray while techs were still counting. It is gone. A pour that never locks a verified count now saves the steadiest count it saw and goes to the standard unsuccessful count screen, where Try Again and Acknowledge Failed Fill both lead somewhere. Those pours could previously save as zero. HELPFUL TIPS ON IPHONE • Each pointer shows once. Got it! keeps it gone across launches and sign-ins, instead of replaying the tour every time the app opens. • Switch Helpful Tips off and back on in Settings to run through the tour again. ALSO IN 2.5.3 • The stay-signed-in picker now centers on screen when opened from Settings, instead of running off the edge. • The SIGN OUT flyout is no longer clipped by the edge of the panel.

You decide how long you stay signed in. Pill Bee used to sign everyone out after five minutes of sitting idle, whether that suited your pharmacy or not. Now it is yours to set. SET YOUR OWN TIMER Settings, Your Session, Auto Sign-Out After: anywhere from 1 minute to 4 hours. Every tech gets their own, so the fast counter at the bench and the pharmacist working through a stack of fills can each have the window that fits them. STAYING A WHILE? SAY SO Tap your initials at the bottom of the counting screen and choose Stay Signed In For. Pick a stretch of time, or pick Duration of My Shift and tell Pill Bee the hour you clock out. For the rest of that time you will not be asked for your PIN again, even if other techs sign in and out on the iPad in between. You can set the same thing in Settings under For Today Only. NOBODY COUNTS UNDER YOUR NAME BY MISTAKE While that is on, your full name sits across the bottom of the counting screen the whole time, so it is always clear whose account is active. It expires on its own tonight, and hitting Sign Out ends it right away. Pill Bee still never signs you out in the middle of a count: it waits until the count is finished. And if you work past the hour you told it, you are not kicked out, you simply go back to your normal timer. Also in this release: fixed a crash that could hit while counting, and the Sign Out button no longer gets clipped at the edge of the panel.

Fixes an issue where the Settings screen could not be opened on stores configured to require an Rx label scan before counting. The SETTINGS button is back on the home screen, and the Settings and Logout buttons on the welcome panel now work. What's New in Pill Bee 1.4.2 Patient Safety Fix — Incorrect Drug Display at Medicine Place In rare cases, scanning a bottle barcode could display the wrong drug name on screen due to ambiguity in how the barcode digits were interpreted. Pill Bee now detects when a scan is genuinely ambiguous and prompts for a rescan rather than confidently showing the wrong drug. This only affected Medicine Place's workflow (bottle-scan-only mode) — 986's NDC-Rx-Qty label scan was already protected by the label cross-check. Minor Fix — Stale "Pills Poured" Count at Start of New Swipe The POURED counter occasionally displayed a leftover number from the previous swipe before the first pills were detected. It always corrected itself immediately, but the brief stale value was noticeable. This is now cleared cleanly when each new swipe begins.

*** Critical Patient Safety Bug Fix *** V1.4.1 addresses a rare bug where a technician could move the prescription label back through the scanner directly after the initial label scan, and the application would read that second scan as the medication safety check — bypassing the bottle-NDC verification step entirely. Pill Bee now recognizes when a re-scan is a label (rather than a bottle barcode) and silently ignores it, forcing the technician to scan the actual bottle barcode to complete the safety check. No medication safety verification can now be bypassed by a duplicate label scan. Failed Swipes Now Display Correctly Some failed swipes were appearing in the swipe row list with a green checkmark, even though they were correctly recorded as failures elsewhere. Swipes were always correctly stored in server correctly and were correctly displaying in Reports/History. This visual mismatch is fixed — a green check now reliably indicates a successful, on-target count. "USE ALL" Reliability Improvements The USE ALL button now waits for a confirmed pill count before activating, so tapping during a momentary detection drop won't bank zero pills. Pressing USE ALL multiple times during a single fill no longer double-counts pills into the banked total. "N" Prefix Rx Numbers Now Supported Pill Bee already accepted a leading C for controlled-substance Rx numbers (e.g. C1234567). It now accepts a leading N the same way. Configurable under Settings → "Preserve C / N Prefix on Controlled Rx#s." HTTPS-Only Server Connection Pill Bee now defaults to https://pillbee.tail40c343.ts.net and no longer carries the legacy IP-based network exception. All sync traffic is encrypted end-to-end. Version 1.4 New Login & Logout Flow Pharmacies can now manage who's actively counting with a clean user picker. Tap LOGIN to open a full user grid — select your name, enter your PIN if required, and you're in. A Logout button on the home screen lets you hand off the device without leaving your session open. Scanning and counting are fully disabled until a user is logged in. Free Count Redesign Free Count mode got a major upgrade. A live count panel now shows ON TRAY (your current certified pill count in teal) alongside TOTAL COUNTED (the running multi-tray total in purple). The "Cleared Tray, Add More" button is replaced with USE MORE — tap it before clearing, the pill masks turn yellow to signal the system is waiting, clear the tray, pour the next batch, and counting resumes automatically.
